  2. Just had surgery yesterday the 19th. They just brought me in a little tiny cup of water and said to drink it over the next hour. Walking has been fantastic for the gas pains. I am amazed at how good I feel. I had been a bit worried because of my weight but it has all worked out perfectly so far. Good luck to you all who are getting sleeved today and tomorrow and for everyone who has had the surgery already this week I wish you all a speedy recovery

  16. I woke up at 3 am to pack everything in the car and now we are making the 3 1/2 drive to where my doctor is located. I have to check-in with the doctor when I get there and then I have to go have blood work done and get the pre-admit out of the way. Then we will check into our hotel. I rented us 22 jumpstreet and the purge to keep us occupied in the hotel tonight. I hooe I grabbed everything I need lol I am such a last minute packer.
  17. Oh you are very lucky to know people who have had this surgery.I was kind of hoping to find something similar to what you have, but sure if you hear of group let me know. Thank you
  18. @@stantog good luck girl keep us posted. I am 2 days away from surgery so I really want to hear how it goes for you
  19. My surgery is Wednesday the 19th and I smoke. I have cut back a lot this month even quit for 4 days 1 week then 5 days the next. The hospital coordinator called me today and asked me if I smoke. I was scared she might cancel my surgery but I was honest with her and said yes. She said I must not smoke for the next 2 days before surgery because the smoke causes the stomach lining to be irritated. She pretty much said I don't know when your last cigarette was but it was your last. After surviving the 2 week liquid only diet and losing 30 pounds from it, I feel like I got this no smoking thing. I am ready to be healthy finally. Out with the old Jenn and in with the new!
  20. Mmm sounds good I can't wait to try it.
  21. Thanks so much... jhjmack where did you have your sleeve done? Have you been able to find any kind of local support group in Chico or Oroville?

  23. Wow Jeanniebeannie I am so excited for you. Please update as soon as u can and let us know how surgery goes. Mine will be the day after yours I am feeling so ready... except for packing lol
  24. I have been on the 2 week liquid only diet and today I started the 3 day clear liquids only diet. Surgery on Wednesday and I just finished all my shopping. Today I got my gas x strips, breath strips, glade plug in to keep my hospital room smelling like strawberries and rain, new slippers and now I just need to pack. I can't believe Wednesday is almost here! Good luck to everyone who is getting sleeved this week! It is so exciting there are so many of us, we will have a great support system going!
