Oh as far as advice... Get ice chips like crushed iuce from gas station or from Sonic if you have one the ice really helped curb my craving to snack. And if you don't mind cooking homemade chicken broth is a thousand times better than store bought. And last but not least I keep telling myself its only 10 more days you got this girl only 10 more days. That has helped me a lot.

My preop diet is getting better for me. The first 2 days were the worst! I was starving and had a horrible headache. Today was the first day that I have felt good. I lost 19 pounds and my body notices it. It hurts less to stand up and walk already. I don't feel like I am starving anymore, and honestly I'm really not that hungry today as I was the first 2 days. I hope each day keeps getting easier.. 10 days until surgery

I used onion, celery, carrots, mushrooms, and a chicken breast. And the best part was I sauced the chicken breast, broiled the sauce on and fed it to my husband for dinner

I am on day 5 of the liquid diet and it has been rough but seeing/feeling the weightloss has kept me motivated. 5 days and 19 pounds so far! I was having a hard time drinking the store bought chicken broths so yesterday I made my own. I used chicken and veggies and then strained everything out. It smelled great and tasted a thousand times better than that boxed broth crap.

Any 400 lbs or more sleeves?
I was 466 at my highest 460 4 days ago when I started my 2 week liquid diet and on today day 4 I weigh 447. I think a lot of the weight I lost in the last 4 days is probably water weight. My sleeve surgery is Nov. 19th and I am so excited. I have been looking for other sleevers that have been over 400 pounds to see what kind of results I might be able to expect. I have joined a gym and they have water arobics so I plan to do that until I lose some of this weight and can walk better.

Anyone get/getting sleeved that is over 400#
That's a fantastic idea! The gym I joined has water arobics. I wonder how long we have to wait after the surgery to get in the water. I know I am sure going to miss my hot tub after surgery.

Creating a new group?
I am struggling right along with you Ldimples. I am on the completely liquid diet until Nov 19th. But when I miss snacking on things like a big of chips I have been snacking on soft crushed ice and it has helped me. It lets me have that mindless snacking feeling where I just keep putting food (ice) in my mouth. I hope this helps and good luck! I also like to remind myself over and over it is only 11 more days only 11 more days!!!!

Proud to announce that I will be a Sleever on November 17th!

That is awesome we will be 1 day apart! I have to agree, the weight is definitely doing more damage! I wish you the best of luck jeanniebeannie and I hope you stay in touch so we can chat after our surgeries. How is your diet going? Is it liquid only like mine? I was struggling a bit until I got a big cup of ice chips to munch on that help soooo much with my cravings to snack.

Pre-op diet & ice chips
I am on day 3 of the liquid diet and yesterday was super hard. I really wanted to go eat at (won't say name so I don't tempt any1) and I kept telling myself its ok it is only day 2 if you are going to cheat then today's the perfect day. And if that convo in my head wasn't bad enough I was really missing snacking too you know that mindless putting food in your mouth type snacking. So I went to the gas station and I bought a 64oz cup of crushed ice and put it in sandwich baggies and got my munchies on. I have to say it felt great to be munching on something and curbed my cravings. Because of that ice I have made it successfully to day 3 and only 12 more days to go!

San Jose gastric sleeve
I have been at an infusion center getting iron infusions for the last 2 hours and I am starving so hard to not cheat ughhhh

San Jose gastric sleeve
I have celiac disease which means I am allergic to wheat malt barley and rye. Anyways most broths, soups, protein shakes, powders and even sugar free Popsicles have wheat and malt so I am having to do it on my own.

San Jose gastric sleeve
I am on day 2. I felt hungry all day yesterday even though I had a shake for breakfast broth for lunch and dinner and a shake before bed trying to curb the hunger. I know this might sound crazy but maybe I feel so hungry because I didn't chew anything so today I am going to buy a large cup of crushed ice to chew on see if it makes a difference and tricks my brain. I am also going to take pictures of myself today and I hope if I feel the urge to cheat looking at these pictures will keep me honest.
