  1. @Anxious2bme I had laparoscopic Gastric Bypass.
  2. I have been sipping and walking all day. The most I have managed to get down was 32oz of water with half a bottle of Isopure. I don't feel dehydrated, I am just paranoid that this is not enough fluids to keep me hydrated. Any suggestions on how to increase my liquid intake?
  3. @@FrankinTexas I am doing good. My abdomen is just super sore. It was really bad last night, but seems better today. I keep walking, and drinking water mixed with Isopure. Other than being sore and tired, I am doing great! What about you? How are you feeling?
  4. I had my RNY on the 28th too! I was sent home yesterday, I am walking as much as I can. I felt very sore yesterday, like I did an insane ab workout ????. It's getting better each day. So far no nausea. I've only been drinking water and Isopure .
  5. Good Luck @@The Candidate! I Pray for a successful and complication free surgery and even a quicker recovery.
  6. Hey Guys! I'm officially on the losers bench. Had my surgery yesterday at 10 am. Feeling good, just tired. I am ready to get the swallow study over with. I hope it doesn't hurt to drink????. My Mom stayed with me in the hospital and she has been such a trooper. Helping me to the bathroom, walking the halls with me. I am 36 years old, BUT it's still nice to have my Mom around when I am not feeling well.
  7. Thanks @@James! I am doing pretty well. Of course I am still being pumped with pain medicine. My mouth is so dry and of course I am sleepy. Overall I am doing good.
  8. Just got out of Surgery. Just achey on my left side. Looking forward to tomorrow (Swallow study). My mouth is so dry ! Feeling groggy and tipsy.
  9. Glad to hear all is well. I am trying to fall asleep now, but can't because my surgery is tomorrow. I am a hot mess!!
  10. I am so sorry you are having to go through that! I am didn't think much about Stricture, and now I'm freaking terrified that this will happen to me. Ugh, just one more thing to worry about.
  11. Does this only happen if you over eat? Or eat something you shouldn't? It sounds God awful!
  12. Seriously guys...... What is this "slime" that you mentioned? I have never heard of it. Is this something that everyone experiences?
  13. What the heck is slime??
  14. The process took me 6 months. My insurances requires I do 6 consecutive months of classes, meet w/ a NUT and a Psychologist. I also had to do a swallow study. It took 3 days once all my information was submitted to insurance for final approval. So now... I am nervously awaiting Tuesday the 28th for my surgery date. Good luck! It really does fly by.
  15. I'm glad they will have the medication in for you tomorrow. I had a revision from lap band to gastric bypass. My initial pain while in the hospital was more than with the lap band but nothing that wasn't managed by the pain meds. I was able to walk around sooner after the bypass that with the lap band. Walking as much as tolerated also helped with decreasing gas pains. I didn't wait until the pain became intolerable before taking the medicine and I took Tylenol sometimes so I didn't have to take the controlled pain med. It's normal to feel a bit anxious because it's surgery but RNY is so worth it. I'm 9 months out and down about 105 pounds and 20 pounds from my goal. I'm just telling you that because the surgery works. You will be fine, don't over think it! ???? Thanks @@Trayjay33! Surgery is next Tuesday. I am trying to focus on the end game. Taking one anxious moment at a time and trying to work through it ????
  16. @@Trayjay33, congrats on your surgery. I have to ask.... How was your experience? Pain wise? Lol I know everyone is different, I am starting to get really anxious.
  17. Thanks ladies! I was told that my prescription will be ready tomorrow. Yay!
  18. I am on my way to a CVS that says they have a bottle ! Wish me luck ☺️
  19. I was told that they can try and order it, it's not guaranteed that they will actually get it in. It's more of a request for it, if they get it at all. It's just so strange.
  20. I spent two full hours driving around town looking for this stuff with no luck. I am going to call my Drs. Office tomorrow to see if he can give me a different medication.
  21. @@The Candidate, my Surgery is on the 28th and my DR told me yesterday that I needed to have them filled right away because it's been difficult for people to get their pain meds filled, because Pharmacies are not keeping it in stock due to people seeking it our fraudulently. I had several pharmacies tell me that they could confirm if they had the medicine over the phone , that I would have to come in?! Weird
  22. It's a liquid Hydrocodone-Afetaminophen, our Insurance requires we use CVS. I am going to try and have them order it tonight. Fingers crossed it gets here in time .
  23. My surgeon wrote me a script for liquid pain meds to have filled prior to surgery. My surgery is next Tuesday and I can't find a pharmacy that carries the medicine?!
  24. I've done so good and stayed positive, today was my 3rd full day and it's really starting to wear on me. To makes matters worse, my dear hubby and rugrat came home with 2 dozen donuts. Ugh! Damn boys and their fast metabolisms ????. I hope tomorrow is a better day. I hate being in this funk.
  25. Has anyone experienced a feeling of being sad and pissy all at the same time while going through the pre op diet? Is this normal? I have spent most of the day secluded away in my bedroom, avoiding my kid and husband.
