Just wondering ...
Interesting thread. I have had a similar problem with MID-back pain since November. (not lower). I've had xrays, scans, etc. Went to the chiropractor and got the feel good treatments that helped for a few hours. Finally got referred to a good Physical therapist. He asked me if I had recently lost a lot of weight. I told him I had lost about 70 lbs since last May. He said that makes sense then. He said when you are over weight your ligments, etc are stretched to accommodate the heaviness. With a big weight loss those ligaments are now trying to deal with the "unstretching" and are confused so to speak. He gave me back exercises for strengthening and I can now feel a vast improvement. So, I guess what Im saying is, your body can respond in various ways with such a big weight loss.

Hospital Packing List
Yes, that is a large list. I took very little. I wore the same loose clothes in and out. I was an overnight stay and used their toothbrushes and paste. I did throw in an I-pod and was glad I had it to drown out the crazy lady who shared my room and yelled out all night. A comb and my cell phone were about it. Shampoo? I doubt you're gonna feel like bending over the sink to wash ur hair. Most docs wont let you shower for at least a couple of days. Taking your own pillow might be a good idea if you think you will rest better with it. I always follow the rule when packing for anything of: "pack what you think you will need, then remove half of it"

Lap Band Surgery two weeks before wedding?
Wow! I admire your feelings of wanting to do this before you begin your new life together, and I did very well with my surgery and recovery and was back at work 5 days later, but I just can't imagine doing something as "big" as a wedding so soon. Especially if you are going all out with the event.........( big wedding, reception, etc). I do think you can "get thru it fine" but I doubt you would really ENJOY the day. Not to mention the festivities afterwards. Let us know what you decide, and we'll root you on!

This is so silly ....but can i still
you might on occasion have trouble with the "white stuff" but mandarin oranges should suffice at those times.

Lesson Learned-- Don't Deviate from the Diet
At this point I rarely count calories, or such. I eat my protein first, then fruits/veggies. Im just trying to stay aware of what I eat and avoid those things that "call out my name" such as sweets,etc...., I just eat healthy and normal. I do carbs. I just try to be sensible about them. I have had a consistant steady loss and am about 10lbs from goal.

This might sound silly but...
I wish I could send you a link, but I'm at work, and they have that site blocked. The one I like is the Very Sexy Push up. It will describe it with "pillows or padding or something like that. The padding is in the bottom of the cup. If you can't find it, let me know I will send the link to you this evening

When is support not really support?
You'll get there............ Take the best of what you've heard here on this post and ignore the rest. You know what works (and doesn't) for you.

When is support not really support?
I'm so sorry you've found yourself dealing with this. And I think this is something that will not be easy to change-or even impossible to change, so I would guess you would have to be the one to change how you let if effect you. You can't change someone else, but you can change how you deal with it, or let it mess with your head. Easier said than done, I know, but just try different reactions when he replies to things you've said. Maybe say nothing at all, or "you're right" etc.....see what kind of reaction you get and go from there. I agree nicetydy above............I bet he's insecure and reacting with a knee jerk comment. You're changing, and he's afraid that will come inbetween you. Men are strange creatures. Hang in there.........get counseling if you need it and continue on your journey. It's YOUR journey and your life.

This might sound silly but...
I went from a 44DD to a 36DD. I find a great bra is crutial! Spend the money. My favorite is the Victoria's Secret, "very sexy bra". it has little pillows in the bottom of the cup that lift my "sagginess" right up! LOL. I would love to have PS, but not sure its in my budget any time soon, so I spent the $$ on some good bras. They run about $60-80 each, but if you catch them on end of season sales, you can get them for $15 or so. Also, you can find them on ebay. I've got another one coming my way now.

Nature Problems.....
A physician would always be your first call or visit. They can investigate medical causes, and then if nothing is medically wrong, refer him for counseling, etc. Changes within a persons body can play games with you mentally. Encourage him to seek help

Snacks?
I do snacks most every day. But not until I started the normal food stage. Most of the time I'll have a few nuts, a low fat cheese stick, 100 calorie pack, or a roll of deli meat.

problems urinating after surgery????
It's a common thing for some to have dysuria. Anesthesia slows down ALL body functions and it takes a bit for some organs to "wake up". Once you start, you should be fine, but if you aren't going nomally soon, call your doc.

It's been 3 years with lapband
You can do this..............just get back to your doctor (or another one of your choosing) and talk to the dietician and other professionals who can help you get back on track. It was not very professional of your doc to yell at you, but you can't let it get to you. This is YOUR life and YOUR journey. YOU are in charge. And YOU can start over fresh. Good luck my friend. Keep us posted.

How long before first fill?

2/5/09 Lose a Pound, Gain a Wrinkle!
I'm 51 and really didn't have problems at all with the facial wrinkles. I do however have saggy boobs. My legs are a tiny bit wrinkly but nothing clothing wont hide. I'm so glad I had it done. And there is always cosmetic surgery if you feel you really need the lift. But I understand your concern, and it is something you will have to think about.
