  1. I had my surgery last Tuesday. Lost 10 lbs preop and am down a total of 15 lbs. I was only told to eat when I was hungry. Ur liquid intake with the protein. Drinks includes the 64 oz a day. U don't have to drink 60 oz of water on top of it. I eat maybe once or twice a day. And have advanced myself to soft foods saturday. When I did I had my first bm. So don't worry. For exercise anything is better than nothing but you need to do something each day. Good luck for all of those having surgery!
  2. I was told no gummy vitamins because of the sugar content. As I can't stand the smell of vitamins I opted for the powder kind. Mixed with water it tastes kind of like tang.
  3. Probably not as much yesterday as i should have. Woke up this morning without the headache. So far so good.
  4. Home. And confused. In the hospital I would associate shakiness with hunger. Then I started yesterday. Now I have a constant headache. I eat jello (which worked in the hospital) and it's not helping. I've tried broth but that doesn't help for long. Is it menstrual/hormonal? Should I try and advance my diet to soft like cottage cheese or yogurt?

  7. I'm glad I could eat one small meal a day.

  12. Congratulations! Glad to hear you're doing well
  13. Walking is really the only way to get rid of the gas. Pain medication doesn't really help.
  14. Thank you all for your encouraging words. I am anxiously awaiting next Tuesday to get here so I can begin my new life. I commend all who are joining in this endeavor. It always helps to have a support group that you can ask questions and turn to you when things are rough to give you a boost
  15. Mine is Tuesday. I splurged and had one last burger the other day after work. I am allowed one meal a day these 2 weeks but am going to put myself on pure liquids from here on out.
