    Dealing with gastroparesis

I am 100% sure I got it from victoza. Surgeon said if it was from something other than that then we would be most likely revising the sleeve to a rny

It gets easier to purge, I just purged my closet for the 3rd time in as many months. I told the medical assistant my skinny clothes don't fit. She said you'll get there... No you don't understand they are 3 sizes to big!!

    Dealing with gastroparesis

I had gastroparesis. I remember telling my endocrinologist I thought I had it and him telling me I was over reacting. After my egd the WLS asked me when I ate last as I still had spaghetti noodles in my stomach. I told him 16 hours ago. Sent me for a emptying study and it came back severe gastroparesis. I originally was thinking about the sleeve but he felt it wasn't safe leaving the pyloric sphincter intact. Said making the stomach long and skinny with the sphincter would cause a lot of back pressure and put me at greater risk of leak. So we did RNY. No issues after surgery due to the gastroparesis. I get the expected restriction then I feel full but not the sickly feeling I got with food sitting there for 12+ hours. There are medications you can take for gastroparesis but they don't come without side effects.
  7. I remember having to scrape my tongue. The smell was nasty.

    Pain pain pain

I had the exact same pain where the one incision was caved in. Was worse in the evening for some odd reason. At times when I bent over it was sharp and knocked the wind out of me. It also burned. I used ice and vicodin. Surgeon said would take about four weeks for the suture to dissolve. Took 5 weeks.
  11. I had a reduction years ago. I was 18 (I think that helped with recovery) worked at McDonalds and was back to work the next week. I did go out within a couple of days after being discharged. Biggest issue was seatbelt the car putting pressure on the breast. Compared to the RNY the reduction was easier than a root canal. Everyone recovers differently.

    Having some issues

Go to the pharmacy and get some miconazole powder for your rash. Over the counter. Don't get the spray because whatever is in the propellant stings especially if it is open.

I brought my phone so I could keep everyone updated, pair of flip flops (to walk in, instead of the socks), and go home clothes.
