    The way it is handled may be different depending on the hospital and Dr. In Arkansas you are required to pay the surgeon before they schedule surgery and will not do surgery if the hospital portion due isn't paid 10 days prior to your procedure. My bill was 348.00 for the Dr. And 1585.00 for the hospital All required to be paid in full before they will do anything.

    Yes, Peachee, go ahead and submit a written appeal however because of your BMI and lack of co-morbidities I don't know that they will approve :-( so sorry!

    I finally got approval from Cigna today!!!!! It took 3 try's. I had to formally appeal...but today I got my approval letter!! I'm so excited!
