  1. @@slimkat Hello and to answer your question well it's all on the person ????if you keep with your diet it's in you to choose how much you lose!! I started out at 384 pounds and by my surgery date I was 320 and 1 year and 4 months out Im at 208 and I want to be at 175 so I still have some way to go but the goal me and my dr spoke about initially was for me to be at least 250 pounds and I went past that????thankfully I got rid of all my diabetic and high blood pressure meds????

    Liquid diet

@@anaxila ok that good you don't really have a restriction and my surgeon is Dr Enrique Eli at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I went with this surgeon because I have seen a few people who had their bariatric surgery done by him and he is also the head of bariatric surgery at this hospital. But then again there are different restrictions for different people and my liver was a lot larger as to why my pre op was liquids all day with a protein for dinner as in chicken fish or other protein rich food????I'm gonna be a full year post op as of 1/28 /2015 . So good luck on your new journey????

    Liquid diet

@@anaxila what country is your surgery in ? I've been talking to a lot of people and most surgeons require a weight managed diet before surgery and a pre op diet in the U.S. . But in places like Mexico they don't follow the regular diet plan.

    Liquid diet

As long as it was protein and not greasy u should be fine just try to stick to ur liquids all day and have 1 protein meal a day but not the day before surgery

    Liquid diet

Listen guys I think everyone has slipped on their pre op but I felt guilty and called my nutritionist and she told me that it was ok to eat liquid all day and for dinner to eat a piece of chicken or fish as that was a protein and my liver would still shrinkBecause that is the whole reason for the pre op. So don't stress yourselves and eat a piece of protein for dinner until the day before surgery my pre op was 3 weeks long and I had the chicken with a very small salad because she said lettuce was basically water???? hope this helped

    Does everyone experience hairloss?

Well being so called BALD should be the least of anyone's problems!! Now being fat and unhealthy and out of shape now that's worth having hair for!! NOT!! I'm sorry but everyone's got their own opinion and when it comes to making better choices for my life and health ,let me tell you if losing a lil hair is all then I'll do it again !! cause again it grows back and that's a small price to pay for health!!

    OVER 300 lbs

In the morning I usually have either a single serving of instant oatmeal or I make a protein shake and for my lunch I'll eat something like a slice of cheese with a veggie burger and I'm not a vegetarian but those burgers are so good without bread of course????and maybe a very small salad sometimes I can't eat all the burger so I'll eat half. My meals vary from day to day and I eat 4 small meals a day and I feel good. Congrats on your new journey and if you have any questions feel fee to ask ????

    OVER 300 lbs

@ melligates I had the same issue with being very constipated and no amount of drinking helped me.. So my dr had to start me on colace and I didn't get relief from that either so he had me take a Metamucil and that worked ,I would mix it in a cup of hot tea at bedtime and morning came relief???? hope this helps. And I'm 10 months out and my weight was at 384 highest and at my surgery day I was 325 and I'm now 208
  20. Happy thanksgiving to you too????
