congrats to all of you who have been banded, it seems like you all are doing so good. keep up the good work. I really hope I feel as good as you do so soon after surgery. Keep posting.. Leona.. thanks for the food info. Anyone else have any suggestions on what they liked and didn't like. What protein powders were good and what ones you could do without.

Marlluvia, sorry to hear that you are going through all of this BS. This is one of the reasons why I have chosen to only tell my Husband. It's upsetting to hear that one of the few people in your life that you should have full faith in, to stand by your side and keep alll your secrets safe, failed you. BUT you'll get through this. I know you can't do anything about it now. As someone has said the cats out of the bag, BUT do your best to stay positive, you most likely will have your family watching over every bite you have, making neg.comments and telling you what you should be and should not be eating. Just tell them to keep there neg. comments to themselves and that you are doing your best to use this"TOOL" that has been giving to you. Unfortunately this tool doesn't work overnight and you'll have battles and struggles often, just as we all do, with or without the band. Every once in awhile give the smack back to them.. When they pick up food that they shouldn't be eating.. tell them, just as they would tell you... "It's not good for you, should you be eating that?" :mad: Anyway, best of luck to you.. Stay positive, keep your chin up and prove them all wrong.. lose those pounds.. watch them melt away!

Funny, I know this might sound nuts to you.. But when I went in for my post op teaching class the other night.. We were told that if we had uncomfortable aches or pain in the port area.. Ice it for 20 min. at time through out the day and night. I hate ice, personally.. but try it out and see if maybe you'll get some sleep after the first try or two with the ice. A few people who have been banded said it worked wonders for them. But all of us are different.. Just a suggestion.. Best of luck

Sherri and Funny, when you read this.. I missed you a lot!!!!! I was starting to get worried about you ladies. I thought maybe you have decided to move to Mexico. It's great news to hear that you had fun while getting surgery.. LOL sounds weird doesn't it? My Dr. didn't put me on a pre-op diet either. He said that alot of Dr's are getting away from the liquid pre- op, as well.

LOL I kill me.. I met with the surgeon today and he was giving me all the pre-op info. and then he led into the "NO SEXUAL INTERCOURSE" from now until I let you know it's okay... You don't want to get preg. and then after, you'll need to recoop. ... so in my cute little voice I said.. "Can I give my husband oral sex, to the fullest"... HAHHA you should have seen his face! He turned a nice shade of red.. and said ummm I'll be right back. He came back in a min. or two later.. and said. You can do what you want.. but that wasn't my thoughts on clear fluids!! Your husband is a lucky man and by the way.. can you talk to my wife and let her know that girls really do like to do that! LOL Okay, I now have to tell you, that I do know the surgeon on a friendly level.. I wouldn't have the guts to ask, if he wasn't a family friend.

I met with the surgeon today and he told me to wait 2 weeks. I know all Dr's are different, but I asked for myself too. I live on a lake and I was curious.

YOU are so FUNNY!! Good for you! I for one, can't wait to stop paying for the over price clothes at Lane Bryant. I am in a size 18 right now and I can not wait to go to a Macy's clearance section and fit into a "TRUE SIZE 12". Once i get into a 12, I could care less if I lose anymore weight. I feel so comfy in a 12. To be honest, I was happy in a loose 14.. Thanks for the inspiration. I've been in a size 18 for 2 years now, ever since I gave birth to my daughter, and I just can't get out of it. Now only have a little bit longer before I am back down to a 12.

Jen, check your policy again, I'm pretty sure you can still have one on your property.. but you would not be covered for claims made from injury occuring from it. We are not covered as well, but I'm always out with the kids when they are on it AND I tell the parents of the kids that come over that I am not covered. I also have a rule of two at a time. It has worked great. I also bought the netting to go around it, It helps a bit for saftey. Don't hold me to this 100 percent.. but this is what I got from my Insur. comp. I do know it varys from state to state. As far as the weight limit. The 14 foot hold up to 250 and the smaller the trampline, the less the weight is held. You can go to Walmart.com and it should tell you the same info. per size of trampoline. best of luck to you.

Mia.. YOU WILL LOVE IT!! It's the best exercise for me, because it's so effortless and FUN! You do have the 14 ft trampoline.. holds a max. weight of 250.. and the 13 inch has a max of 200. so depending on your Daughters weight, it would be a great thing for the two of you to "hang out" and do the Mommy and Me time. My nutritionist told me to jump up, and bounce down to a sitting position and bounce up again to work the muscles and keep moving for at least 30 min. without stopping and that would be a excellent cardio. Have fun, you'll be working out and not even realize it. Let us know how it goes.
