I just got a positive pregnancy test last night. I am just a week shy of being 6 months post op. I am terrified, and don't know where to begin. This is my first pregnancy ever. Very unexpected. I reached out to an obgyn & my surgeon. I have yet to hear back from either one. Am I supposed to be jumping on a prenatal right away? Do I quit my current Vitamins? do I take anything more? How should i be going about eating? More? add in carbs (i'm a very low carber)? Like I said I have no idea where to begin, and I don't want to jeopardize myself or the pregnancy anymore than I have already. Thanks.

I hear yah. My first surgery too. I think thats why I'm 10x more terrifed over anything else. Wednesday is almost here. Its all starting to become real!

Yes, my doctor offers Bariatric Advantage Meal Replacements. On them for 15 days before surgery. Today is day 1, so far so good! =) Good luck on your journey thus far!!

So excited, yet extremly terrifed!

Is being eligible for the service of gastric sleeve, the same as being approved? I got a call from my surgeon's office letting me know I was approved for surgery, and now just need to complete their requirements (pulmonlogist visit) before I can get a date. I recieved a letter copied to me, that my surgeon recieved from the insurance company saying I was eligible for the services. Was just focused on that word "approved" so was wondering if that meant the same thing! ha ha.
