  1. Okay! Let's keep in touch! How long ago did you have yours?
  2. Good for you that's awesome! I can't wait to get to that point and also be so determined!
  3. Thank you! I'm equally nervous as excited
  4. Thank you! Me too,such a relief!
  5. Glad you are doing well now! I have my insurance approval now and just waiting for nov.18th!
  6. Thanks! I feel I've done so much research and then something like this happens and Im like... Hmm haven't read about that! Ugh but I trust my surgeon and have a 3 hour pre op class this weds that will be a Lot of info
  7. Ok thank you for all that info I really appreciate it! My surgery is 11/18 and I'm excited but getting nervous
  8. Ok and could that be dangerous later in life? How would they examine those areas if they needed to?
  9. They heard it through someone else, not sure who, you know how that goes lol but she said that the scope can go all the through the intestine because of the rerouting of the intestines. Can it be done as in depth as before the rny?
  10. Someone recently told me that it isn't possible to have an endoscopy or an EGD after having RNY is this true??
  11. Oh gotcha, sorry I don't have any advice with that, I have anthem bcbs and it was a breeze. Good luck with everything, it will work out some how!!
  12. What does Owls and OHP stand for?
  13. Thank you! Funny how I went from excited and hopeful, to extremely nervous with one phone call
  14. This morning I got the call from BCBS that I've been approved for surgery!! It only took a week and a day to get approved. I can't believe this whole process from my first consultation to my surgery date is 2 months. Excited for 11/18/14..I'm ready!! ????
  15. My surgery is scheduled for Nov 18th, still waiting on insurance approval and its been a week now, hoping for news towards my new life! ????
  16. Lucky! Hopefully I hear soon
  17. How long did it take for you to hear you were approved?
  18. My surgeons office submitted all my paperwork a week ago today. Anthem bcbs said it is still pending. The rep said on the bright side they have my surgery date of 11/18/14 recorded. I don't see how that is the bright side, that's only a date pending insurance approval, without that there won't be a surgery. Trying not to get my hopes up, although my surgeons office said I meet the criteria, and also trying not to get discouraged. I know it can take up to 3 weeks but I have heard that anthem bcbs has such fast turnaround times. Maybe I'm just not one of the lucky ones to hear back so soon. ????????????????
  19. Thank you, I will definetly keep you posted! What insurance do you have?
  20. I have Anthem BCBS , no supervised diet. Had my first consultation with the nurse, surgeon, and dietician on 9/18/14, followed by blood work with the lab. On 9/24 I met with the psychiatrist (required) . I had another appt with my nurse, surgeon and dietician again on 10/2 and scheduled my surgery for 11/18! I am just waiting for the approval from the insurance. So far smooth sailing and the representatives at bcbs have been great! Fingers crossed!
  21. Anthem BCBS told me 15 business days max. Today is day one, I can't wait! ????
  22. I had my first consultation 9/18/14, did the blood work met with the nutritionist twice and my surgeons office submitted my paperwork today! Surgery is scheduled for 11/18/14. Anthem BCBS gave me my claim number to follow up with, let's hope I don't have to wait long for a "yes"!
