  3. If I'm supposed to get in 60 grams of protein a day and I'm on full proteins and cream soups with no texture how is anybody getting in the protein they need a day so far I've only been able to get a max of 40 grams of protein. Does anybody have any suggestions, best practices, or ideas on other ways to get in protein other than drinking protein shakes
  4. Yes I'm officially a week and one day postop and yes my stomach makes weird noises I'm hoping that goes away as well
  5. Remember your swollen from the surgery and the gas that they have put in your body in order to inflate your stomach so that could be a reason you shouldn't be on the scale just of yet at least wait until a week has passed of you on your liquids after post. The swelling will have this decreased so then we may have a more accurate number
  6. My hair is non chemically treated and I ran into a lady today that she was like her hair feel out. Her whole prespective was very negative and when she was done with her horrible stories I was mortified. I was wondering does anyone not have that experience???? My hair is fairly long and thick so I am a little worried.

  9. In that is correct on FMLA. FMLA is put in place basically to secure your job so that while you're out you will not be penalized for being out or absent from your job basically secures your job. so that is what FMLA is family medical leave act
  10. In most cases with most companies their short-term disability contractor pays 100% for certain amount of weeks there is may be a window. One week that you will probably have to use your vacation time for before your disability starts paying out example:you will be out for six weeks but short-term disability will not kick in until the second week so technically you will not get paid but for five weeks of approved short-term disability time. most times there is a percentage 100% most times they'll pay for maybe eight weeks and then the weeks after that they only pay maybe 50 or 75% of your normal salary or wage based on the hours you work so if your full-time 40 hours your hourly wage or if you're salaried than that will be broke down accordingly. When it comes to short-term disability I think it usually runs him for up to 52 weeks.
  11. Your company could have both FMLA and STD. A lot of people do use short-term disability instead FMLA because it covers you for certain amount of weeks to get paid and a percentage of your salary most companies have my short-term disability contractor like Sedgwick. ISo when your doctor ask do you need to fill out your FMLA paperwork you need to say yes because what it is is releasing information to your possible short-term disability contractor or if you decide to file FMLA they're pretty much the same paperwork is just releasing your records for them to know what your healthcare provider is doing or how long they expecting you to be out I don't know if I will use my vacation time for this because that would exhaust a lot of time because it's based on your healing process

  13. I had my Sleeve done on Oct 1, 2014 and I have been trying to drink my liquids but it hurts. I am not sure if it is spasms or what. I am trying to get liquids in but I am struggling. I am a bit shaky as well because I feel my body is in starvation mode or something. I have 3 different Gas X products and none of them are working. I am walking and still little relief. Can I get any advice?
