  1. I've been battling this same issue. I recently found Bali hipsters and really like them. These are my favorite: http://www.hanes.com/onehanesplace/womens-panties/panties-brands/bali-panties/bali-hipster-25550
  2. There have been struggles but all the positives make it great! I am down 43+ lbs. the first 48 hrs were miserable (gas pain and nausea) but I woke up that first day at home and felt pretty darn good. My energy has been slow to come back. But I just moved to stage 4 in the book and am getting more calories and feeling a lot better. Heider is very concise and good at what he does--easy on the eyes, too! His office staff is AMAZING. I emailed Tiffany at 530 in the morning one day about acid reflux from hell and had a response by 7 and a RX called in by 9. I have not once regretted this. Feel free to msg me.
  3. Dr Heider sleeved me 10/20!
  4. Sleevers that are 3+ years out, what has been the hardest adjustment long term? Also, what does your typical daily meal plan look like?
  5. Officially starving, too! Go to bed hungry, wake up hungry. Trying to stay positive
  6. I am from Danville, VA. 45 minutes north Do you attend any support groups in the area?
  7. At least with shakes you can add flavoring to switch it up. At least the liquid diets are getting us ready for post-op! One day closer to healthy new us!
  8. @@txdogmom Chicken soup wasn't too bad I worry the tomato might be too acidic for me. My doc will let me exchange stuff. I liked the vanilla and strawberry shakes but thought the chocolate was ehh. Tried any bars? I have chocolate and berry yogurt. The chocolate has the diet bar taste about it.
  9. It was so crazy. I was ok all day then it all hit me at once. I am glad to know I am not the only one! I distracted myself a bit by painting my nails...and they were wet so eating was out of the question. :-P I have personal training tomorrow night so that will be distraction. One thing that I found triggered me was food commercials, people eating on tv, and recipes on FB.
  10. @@Fdross I am also scheduled for 10/20. It'll be here before we know it!
  11. I started my two weeks of Optifast today. (Surgery 10/20) Did you "panic attack" before surgery because you weren't going to be able to eat? And eat as in real food for a while? Not all all am I doubting this choice I've made. I've been good all day but in the past hour there've been serious food demons!
  12. Crystal Light like nobodies business! Just started my two weeks, too!
  13. Started my opti today, too! 2 shakes and a bar down. Getting ready for some soup! You got this.,

  16. I get getting ready to order some samples from My Bariatric Kitchen. I have a nectar sampler in my cart and a Pantry Selections hot chocolate sampler. 1. Any additional items I should try? 2. Suggestions for other sites to get samples? Thanks
  17. Have you participated in in- person support groups as well or just online?
  18. I am also keeping my surgery on the down low. I previously had an ovarian cyst and right ovary removed. If people inquire, I am tell them it is to remove some scar tissue that'd been causing me pain. The essential people in my that need to know, know! Had thought,I tell tell people appendix or gallbladder removal BUT what if I really do need those surgeries later!?! Hehe
  19. Looking for sleeve friends in the southern VA area? I am right on the NC/VA line, about 45 min above Greensboro and about an hour below Lynchburg.
  20. Met surgeon September 29, got October 20 surgery date. Ekk! I am so ready but so overwhelmed. I start 2 weeks of Optifast tomorrow. My main concern--support. My doctor is 2 hrs away so attending their support group won't be a regular option for me. I'd love any tip, tricks, hints, etc you've got!
  21. I met my surgeon Tuesday September 30 and am getting sleeved October 20. What are your suggestions for the best "foods"/liquids to have on hand. Def planning on unflavored protein powder for mixing.
