  1. I started on my side right in recovery
  2. I was sleeved on Monday 11/17. I came home Tuesday. I feel good except for the pain in my right side & the gas. That being said, the gas is getting better everyday. I moved to full liquids today. It felt soooo good to finally eat something that wasnt sweet!
  3. My NUT said no gum post-op because if it accidentally gets swallowed, it wont pass through the sleeve. & also gas

  8. A gallon of water weighs just over 8lbs! Drink lots and lots of water, wear heavy clothing/ shoes, make sure you have a lot of change, your keys, cell phone & anything else you can fit in your pockets to add those few extra pounds...

  10. I have completed all the pre-op requirements! I had my pre-op appt today, signed consents and now I just have pre-op testing, pre-op diet & then surgery on 11/17! I'm in the home stretch! Yay!

  12. I don't have BCBS, but I gained wait every month until this month. I had my final weigh-in this morning & lost 8lbs. They were very reassuring, though & told me that it is normal to gain weight in the beginning of the process. For me, I felt that I needed to eat everything I could while I was able to. I just needed them to suggest exercise. I knew I needed it, but I actually needed them to recommend it... Because then I felt it was real.

  15. Hi, Jenn! Where in MD are you? I can Sooo identify with the eating everything around! I did that until a couple weeks ago when my surgeon mentioned exercise. He told me to start now because if the habit starts prior to surgery, it is more likely to continue after surgery.

  19. That is awesome! Congrats! I'm scheduled for Nov 17th. I see soany ppl talking about insurance approvals, & no one has said anything to me about insurance other than to say that I meet the criteria & need to complete certain steps prior to surgery.
