Nov 17th! Yay!!

I was told that it is very common for people to gain before the pre-op liquid diet. My surgeon also told me that once it is documented that you meet the criteria for surgery, that any weight fluctuation is irrelevant

I have IBS. How does the surgery affect this? Will my "episodes" be more frequent, the same, less? This is honestly the biggest fear I have! Is that odd?

I'm Nov 17th & now that I have my date, I'm really starting to feel that this is real. I was silly & since there were no pre-surgery weight loss requirements for me I was afraid to really do much to embrace my new life style. (Or should I say I was milking every moment until told to do otherwise). My doctor just recommended exercise, so later that same say, I joined planet fitness. I have a coworker who joined with me and my son goes with me. Its been 1 week and it is something that I really enjoy doing with him!

I'm looking for a buddy in Maryland. My surgery is Nov 17th. I'd love to have someone nearby to share the experience with.

I have completed my psych eval and EGD & I see the nutritionist 11/3. Final supervised weight check on 10/20 along with pre-op work up. Surgery scheduled for 11/17!
