  1. Thanks guys - I will be ringing my dr or if he isn't available his nurse first thing in the morning. I used the same surgeon which does have me a little concerned. My sleeve failed from the beginning I had no restriction and a barium swallow test showed that food was sliding straight through which is why I had the mini bypass. The fact that my sleeve failed has made me quite paranoid - I am really worried as I can drink as much water etc as I like while it seems that everyone else has difficulty etc I'm going to go back to shakes - I just have to loose this weight:(
  2. Thank you for me for them - I am definitely back to shakes and I love your measuring idea so I'm going to do that as well:)
  3. I am 3 weeks post op. I had a minni bypass due to my sleeve failing. I can drink ALOT of liquid without any issues at all. I am on the purae stage at the moment and today i was able to eat ALOT of a veggie bake:(. I have also been REALLY hungry today. I am really worried that the surgery has not worked/wasn't done properly. I know that this surgery is only a tool however its a tool that i need to work. What is everyone else's restriction like? Do you get hungry? i am going to go back onto shakes tomorrow as clearly i cannot be trusted with food at the moment:(

  5. Following - my band eroded - sleeve gave no restriction - barium swallow showed food going straight through - having mini bypass next week:)
  6.    Alfie reacted to a post in a topic: Band to sleeve failure HELP PLEASE
  7. Hi Johnsydney - I only have very minimal restriction - i can eat anything at all without any problems at all:( I got the results from my barium swallow test today - basically any food goes straight through really fast - we are looking at putting a ring over the sleeve - it is not adjustable like a band but will apparently slow the food down if that makes sense ( it sounded good when my surgeon explained it lol ). It is a same day procedure (ie I don't stay in hospital overnight) & he will do it with no gap. I would prefer a mini bypass but we will see what happens
  8. Thanks Leyanna I had a barium swallow test today & I could hear the radiologist saying that's not normal - will be talking to my surgeon again tomorrow after he receives the report so I will let you no how I go:)
  9. Thanks Alfie - I'll have a look now:)
  10. Hi I had a lapband in 2009 which was very successful. Unfortunately it eroded so it came out last year. I was sleeved in February and have had no restriction since day 1. Saw my surgeon yesterday and he suggested another band as opposed to the bypass. Has anyone had a band after a sleeve or a bypass after a sleeve and what were the results - please help
  11. Hi I had a band in 2009 - it was extremely successful. The band eroded when I was pregnant so I had to have it out last year. I was sleeved in February 2014 and I haven't had any restriction since day 1 ( I know all about slider foods/what I should be eating). I saw my surgeon yesterday. I was thinking of getting a bypass but he is talking about putting on another band. I'm having a barium swallow tomorrow. My questions are: has this happened to anyone else? Did you have another band or a bypass and what were the results. I would really appreciate some feedback - this situation is killing me:(
