On my 4th fill, I hit the green zone and have been there for the last 3 months.

Protein HELP!
Vemma has a great drink with vitamins and 20 grams of protein in a small can. Excellent way to get protein. It is called Bode Burn.

Allowing myself to restart
Kudos to you for getting back at it, but you might want to ask yourself what behaviors keep getting you off track? Why are you resorting to the same habits of overeating?

Pre-op blues and doubts
Everyone has doubts and fears during the pre-op stage! Just continue what you are doing. The first 3-4 days on the pre-op diet is difficult, but after that, you body gets into a rhythm. I was banded 5 months ago and it has definitely been worth it! Hang in there, you can do this!

I have found that carb cycling works very well for me. This does not include all the fasting. You are still getting all the necessary protein you need, just controlling the level and types of carbs you eat. I have used the Vemma Bode program which has helped me change my eating to prepare for the Lapband and helps me stay healthy.

Question about liquids only
Regarding the liquid diet- you can have broth, sugar free jello and Popsicles, teas. I often include plain greek yogurt too.

I think if you can handle the 14 day Optifast and the 14 day liquid diet after surgery, you can handle anything.

The first three-four days are the hardest as your body adjusts. After the 4th day, you start to feel more energetic and motivated to continue. Your body feels healthier. It is definitely worth the effort!
