  6. KSTUZ- I also work in a medical environment. I work at the hospital in my town. I work in the communications department and my department works 24/7 so we always need holiday coverage. January is easier to get coverage for my time off. Where are you located?

  12. I started my surgery process Sep 18 2014..I had a follow up appointment this morning with the NP. Happy to report that I started this process at 357 pounds. This morning I weighed 348.6. I have one more appointment next week with my dietitian then they will review my chart and submit for surgery authorization. I have completed all my pre surgery requirements. I am hoping for surgery January 2015.. I am so ready for my healthy life to reapper and to get off all my diabetic. .hypertension and high cholesterol meds. I read on this forum every day and have learned so much. Thank you all for sharing your journey ~~Bear
  13. I love the powered water enhancer by Crush..they are low calorie and sugar free. My favorite is the strawberry. .tastes just like a carbonated strawberry soda but no bubbles
  14. Thank you ClaireC. I have been practicing my post op behaviors now so when it's real it will be second nature. I am quite ready to be thin and healthy again. Next week I have a follow appointment with the NP and dietitian. Just by being mindful of my eating, according to my him scale I have lost 10# since my first appointment sept 23. I have many post op nsv's on my bucket list. Thanks for the encouraging words. Hope to talk again :-D Bear
  15. Taking 20 min or more to eat a meal and chewing thoroughly has helped me eat less. I'm actually full before I finish my food. I'm still in the pre surgery stages. I'm taking time to practice my post surgery behaviors now so after surgery eating habits will be routine
  16. For all of you that had surgery the beginning of 2014 how are you doing now as we are close to the end of another year? I am still finishing my pre surgery checklist. I am hoping for a Jan 2015 date..thank you..bear

  18. The information packet I received from my dietitian states that 5 T of nonfat dry milk provides 8 gm of protein and can be added to many foods
