Calcium Supplements Help Needed
I tried the bariatric caramels, hated them. My husband got me some "mini" calcium tablets at the store, they might as well be horse pills . I just ordered some cinnamon dissolvable pills from bariatric advantage. Hoping for the best!

Buddy and Mentor? Sleeve date is October 1
Hi all, had my surgery sept 10th and am doing great. The liquid diet isn't too bad, especially if you are drinking protein shakes. You can have clear broths, sugar free jello, sugar free popcicles, skim milk, etc. Afterwards, liquids do get tiring, I had 2 more weeks of them, but believe me, you will not care or be hungry at all. At 2-1/2 weeks post op, I'm down 23 lbs., 12-1/2 inches, it is sooooo worth it. Remember, you will eventually be back on real food and look fabulous eating it! Hang in there, good luck to all!

Weight gain
That's normal! Don't panic! Your body has been starved and it's "hoarding" everything! Start moving more, make sure to get your protein in and put the scale away!!! You got this, don't let your head get the best of you! Good luck!

SEPTEMBER 2014 POST-OP SLEEVERS CHECKING IN!
Hi all, 9/10 surgery and doing very well. The first week was not fun though! By the end of week of week 2 I was sick of anything liquid but still have no appetite for food. There's no flavor and things I loved before do nothing for me now, it's weird. I drink a lot of skim milk which is a complete turn around for me! 22 lbs down so far but I finally had my husband hide the scale! Good luck all!

Truth! What's the pain really like?
I'm 2 weeks post op today and I think I took all of 2 pain pills when I left the hospital and that was ONLY because I had a hiatel (sp?) hernia and my esophagus did not like being stitched up! You will have 5 smallish incisions and really, the pain in so minimal I'm still surprised! Walk, walk, walk, that is a huge key!!!
