  1. The timing to have my protein drinks are little weird only because I work at night so I had a half a bottle around 9 o'clock last night and then I had a full bottle at 3 AM then I drink another bottle about 8:00 AMso I'm going to have another one now I think. Lol
  2. becky we haven't heard from you in a bit. Is everything getting better? I hope it is. I'm praying for you. I have nutcracker esophagus and that's the reason I couldn't have anything but the RNY. I totally understand about the manometry test it was one of the worst test I think I've ever had to do in the hospital, so you have my sympathies. Get well soon.
  3. At my last appointment, they told me I only had to do liquid diet for one week. But I opted to do it for the full two weeks. My BMI and I started it was 50.4 and it went down to 49.5 so one point difference between doing the liquid diet for one week as opposed to two weeks. I'm on day two of the liquid diet I am using boost high protein shakes they are 240 cal with 15 g of protein per 8 ounces the only problem is it's 23 mg of sugar.
  4. wow mindylouho you are doing so great. Proud of you.
  5. I seriously was thinking about canceling or rescheduling. The closer the day looms the more anxious I become.
  6. I am having the RNY and I've just begun the liquid diet last night. There was a challenge. I just hope I make it through.
  7. I did the same thing. The last thing I ate was the best sandwich and worst for me an Ooey-Gooey cheeseburger. It's a half pound burger with a ball of cheese cooked inside. I want like this is my last cheeseburger for long long time.
  8. I'm on oct. 13th. Started my full liquid 800 calorie diet today.
  9. My surgery is on oct. 13th and I was 303lbs now I'm 289 as my presurgery weight
  10. My date is october 13
  11. Yes once they set my date oct. 13 I started dreaming out as well
  12. Hi My name is Helene and I am scheduled to have gastric bypass surgery in Oct. 13,2014. In the past j have tried to get lap band but was not allowed due to my nutcracker esophagus. I couldn't not have the sleeve either due to the same reason. I've had to think long and hard in order to come to this point. I'm to be starting the liquid diet in Sept. 29,2014. I'm hoping it won't be as daunting and my mind is telling me it will be. I wonder if I should stop dating while I am on this weightloss journey. I went on a date last night with this nice guy who is looking for a BBW. I am thinking that next year this time I may not have this body type and that's when a relationship will fail. Guys that I go out with like a certain body type. At this point I have no idea what I may look like. I've never been an average weight as an adult. Whether that has to do with me weight training in my 20s or not. I am 5'4". At this time I am 289lbs. I was 303 when I first visited the bariatrician. I had always said when I was younger that if I was to ever to get to over 300 lbs. that I would have to do something drastic. I had a density test done at the gym and the measuring tool said that I am 153 pounds of just muscle and bone. So it looks like my ideal weight would be somewhere around 185-200. Still having hesitations about the surgery. I think it has something to do with my profession. I'm an Operating Room RN and I know what goes on after the patient is lights out. I joke with my friends that even if your having surgery on your knee. You will still be in the table naked. Some refer to this fear as Nurses Curse. Well maybe I have rambled enough for to day. Nice to meet all of you.
