I just want to pass gas that is the focus of my day. Pass gas, drink Water, get Protein in. The gas is in my lower left quadrant. I can feel and hear it burbling around but I can't get it out. Gonna start with baby banana food mixed with GENEPRO.

I had them give me cloth soaked in water just so I could like rub it around the inside of my mouth to get rid of that taste

Thanks everyone. I am on day two post. Not hungry but trying to get that protein shot down. It's A very strong peach flavor. Getting asthma treatments as needed.

yea that gastro... stuff they give you before the barium has the worst frikkin' taste.

@@Bronxmerci I brought panties and a sports bra and pajamas. I always over prepare I think. They don't seem to care how much I drink or pass gas. Just want my pain controlled without the PCA since yesterday. Taking liquid Norco.

I was the first to have one leak test yesterday but when I finally got my tray I didn't really eat anything I drink like half of the 24 g Protein shot and a couple sips of juice and some sips of water

to me it didn't hurt going to the bathroom the first time after the catheter. I didn't go immediately they said I had six hours to go or they would put the catheter back in, so I went. Right now I just want to pass gas, I want to get this barium out of me.

be okay :-) if they give you the sticks with the water you can rub it around inside your mouth it'll keep your mouth moist. I couldn't have ice chips or anything until after my upper G.I.

I left a message over on the other thread. I'm doing okay I was having some incisional pain and maybe some gas pain. They took me off of the PCA today around 430pm. I am now taking Norco 7.5 mg liquid oral medication. Trying to get down this I infiltrated two IVs already so I'm on my third IV. Miss my kids. They won't let anyone under 18 up here because of the enterovirus that's been spreading among gradeschool kids. I do have my own room though. Chicken broth is disgusting because there's no salt or pepper in it. Of course I still do not like sugar-free Jell-O. changed into my pajamas. My O2 sats staying in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Trying to keep up with my deep breathing and coughing exercises. They took my catheter out. Went to the bathroom on my own. Walked up and down the hallway.

Hello again y'all

Sorry have just now posted yesterday was my surgery, RNY. I'm in bed I got up to the chair last night for a couple hours. Having pain mostly on the incision site they gave me a PCA with Fentanyl. Not able to eat or drink anything until after I have an upper G.I. this morning.o1 drain which should come out tomorrow. One of the doctors said that I was making them laugh all the way to the OR. I don't remember that, but it's probably true. They found a hernia and they went in and they sewed it but told me I would have to come back after I've lost some weight to have the hernia repaired completely. I have been complaining about my bellybutton hurting for the last year to my G.I. doctor to my OB guy to my regular doctor. Every time my period came around, my bellybutton hurt really really bad. Guess now we know why.

No cell phones allowed in pre op my and my daughter.

I haven't been hungry the last two days. I only did 578 cal yesterday but 100g protein. Today maybe 458 calories and only 57g protein.

the vitamins,I don't believe they do, I'm not sure.
