  1. How are you feeling by now? I'm on day 11 and the pain has gotten to be less little by little every day but the first week was hell. I still have pain at the port site - feels very hard and I'm still on liquids but having some constipation issues which I'm taking care of now. Good luck in your journey! You never know how much pain this thing is until you experience it but we can go through it together. I was banded on 9/29. Here's to reaching our goals!
  2. I was banded on Monday 9/19 and 5 days later I'm still adjusting to it. I'm following all the rules and directions given but every time I take a sip it feels like it gets stuck in my esophagus and wants to come back up. Anyone else feel that way? I also feel a burning sensation on my chest and of course I'm still bloated. I know I'll be happy about this surgery in a few weeks after this initial stage but it sure feels bad now!
  3. I had my surgery on Monday 9/29 in Mexico and now I'm back and in need of a mentor/buddy to go through this difficult time. I would prefer someone local if possible. The only person that knows about my surgery is my husband and he has never had weight issues so although he claims to be supportive, he really isn't and I'm alone. HELP!

    Regrets?

I feel the same. I had my surgery on Monday and 3 days after I feel gross. Every time I take a sip it feels like it's coming back up and it's all painful. I felt an enormous amount of regret right after surgery and also today feeling as awful as I do. I know it will get better but it's hard to think in the future with this much discomfort. I hear you!
  5. My surgery is scheduled for 9/29 in Mexico. My husband is coming with me and he is the only person I am telling about the surgery. It's mostly because I don't want to answer the questions - it's exhausting! I've dieted most of life and been up and down over and over. I hate that people tell me I don't look "that bad". I wear a size 12-14 for bottom and 14-16 for tops or dresses. I'm very nervous especially since I don't have a support system. My husband isn't even in agreement -- he's going only because I'm making him go. Anyone else out there doing this alone?
  6. Thank you! I'm looking forward to the life change!
