  1. Thank you everyone!!
  2. I am a little disappointed with my numbers but I feel great.
  3. So sorry you are going thru this. I really hope things get better soon. Please keep us updated.
  4. So... I am in a 12 week weight loss challenge with 8 of my co-workers. We are on week five and I have gained 4 pounds since we started. I am currently in last place!! Ugh!! Here is the thing though… I run, workout 5 days a week including 3 days weight training, get in my protein and water, etc. I am sure I am not getting enough calories but still though. My co-workers barely work out if they do at all. They drink smoothies all day and eat grapefruits and nuts. The highest loser has loss about 10 pounds. I am like WTH!!!!! Why am I in last place. Ugh!!!
  5. I am a slight sleeper on a good night so the sleep study freaked me out. The first two times I barely slept at all. The third time the doctor told me I could take a sleeping pill like I usually do. I did sleep some that nigh I have had my machine for over a year. Never liked it and felt defeated by it. A few weeks ago, I just started using it again. Since the pressure has been decreased and I have a new mask, I can sleep with it a lot better than before. I still have not been able to make it thru a whole night with it on yet though. I am working on it.
  6. Hey there @3283 The most important thing is: It's your race at your pace. Take your time. Start off slow. Walk if you need to. Do intervals if they help. Get some good running shoes for a running store where they test you. The shoes are expensive but worth it. Listen to your body. Last, have fun.
  7. Wow! This is a tough one. Really though. My first thought was if this was something he really wanted, he wouldn't be talked out of doing it. Honestly, I would stay out of. Just my thoughts. Good luck!
  8. Fear is normal. Don't let it block you from seeking a healthier lifestyle. This indeed is a lifestyle change. If you are a praying person, pray and let it go. You will be fine.
  9. Good morning! Welcome! We are here to support you. Feel free to ask questions and seek guidance if you need it. Good luck.
  10. If someone would have told me a year ago that I would be running, I would have laughed at them. LOL!! I twisted my knee running last Tuesday so I took the rest of the week off. I honestly didn't know if I was going to be able to run at all on Saturday but I did it!! Not only did I do it, I ran my fastest 5K time ever. Yay me!! Even though the scale and I are not friends right now, I feel good and I am so proud of myself. I have been challenged to run a half marathon in Sept. (I must be crazy). I have a lot of work to do. Game on!!
  11. Not enough Protein. Haven't work out or run in a week. Went on a ski trip over the weekend. Drank my calories. Didn't eat much. Bad choices. I know. I have been horrible the last thee weeks. I am back on it though. Went to the gym this morning.
  12. I got on the scale and realized I gained 4 pounds. I swear I almost hyperventilated, had a panic attack and fell off it *ugh* I am ok now. I know what I need to do to get back on track. Will it be like this the rest of my life every time I gain a pound?
  13. Hey there. I am glad to hear things are well with you. I have been doing pretty good myself. Crazy busy at work and just trying to stay focused and on track. Not working out as much as I want to but I'm still active and running when I can. I have set a small goal for myself by May. Hoping to get there.
  14. It's been awhile since I have been here. I just wanted to say hello and wish everyone a Happy New Year. How is everyone doing?
  15. Oh my goodness. Sending up prayers for you. Get home soon and get better. *hugs*
  16. What a great post!! Wishing you the best in the years to come.
  17. What @@Kindle said! I am a very, very, very slow loser. I have only lost about 62 pounds in the last year and a half. Still have 25 more to go. Hang in there. Still with it. There is no time limit on this life change.
  18. @lauraellen80 Wow!! Thank you for that. I will definitely stop eating them or definitely cut back on how much I do eat of them. I am going to switch over to mostly veggies and leave some of the carbs alone. After a year and a half, I should have them thing down pat by now. Geesh.
  19. @@JamieLogical what you said makes sense. My doc and NUT told me to increase my liquid Protein which will keeps me fuller. Also, to increase my calorie intake because I am not eating enough food. I didn't really believe it at first but I think they are right. I need to stop being so hardheaded.
  20. I will admit that I awful with tracking food. I hate it, I think there is about 17 in the Protein bar and 20 in the fruit bar. Not sure about the Cheerios protein cereal or the trail mix. There were only snack bag sizes so maybe not too much.@@JamieLogical
  21. Got up and worked out at home this morning. So far today I have had: dry Protein Cereal, a Protein Bar, a multigrain fruit bar, a fage plain yogurt with honey, a 100 calorie pack of trail mix, three bottles of Water and a cup of coffee and I am starving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For lunch, I have some chicken both, going to add some cut up chicken strips and a protein bar. I want some tater tots sooo bad. Just a few. Ugh!
  22. Wow! What at testimony! Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays!
  23. Honestly, It really depends on the family/friend and my relationship with them. One of the good things is I work out a lot now (always have really) so people assume that's how I am losing it. Since I am a slow loser, the weight loss hasn't been too drastic.
  24. Happy Birthday to you! I understand how you feel. I really do. Try not to let it bother you too much. Look at not having those things as the beginning of a new life. You will be just fine without it.
  25. I pretty much agree with what has already been said. You have to do what is best for you. Instead of letting his words kill your spirit. Maybe you should try using them as your motivation. Let the push and fuel you. He says you have commitment issues. Well... prove him wrong. It is definitely about your mindset. Start there and it will fall into place. At the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you. The sleeve saved my life literally.
