Ths fluro was GREAT...1 stick and I could watch everything on the monitor. He didnt put me to sleep or anything...but I got a prescription from him the day before for numbing cream bc he spent 10 min trying to find the port the day before and my stomach was still really sore..... sorry i didnt constitute my concerns as whining snowbrd...

I cant wait until my first fill! I was banded 1/31/08 and go for my first fill 3/10...for a coupld of weeks after surgery all i could do on liquids was maybe 1/2 c now it back to normal eating..but i expected that..its hard explaining to everyone why i can eat pretty much normally everyone thinks that it is instant!!

started last week! I have more gas than usually but no probs with constipation.

Ok surgery was 1/31/08. I am now eating soft foods and doing fine. no problems going to the bathroom no problems eating BUt I am having pain in my left lower abdominal area??!! My port is over my bellybutton no problems with that....any ideas?????

yeah I went the other day and got a chewable multivit. I tell you I think it was the stress of work...I got sick like a week after my surgery and I was trying to keep on working...I think all that just ran me down...I feel much better now...I will mention it to my dr when I go though....see if he thinks it anything to be concerned about esp if I start feeling bad again!!!!

That's crazy....insurance companies are so screwy!! Did they think the fills were gonna be done for free??? Oh no...you gotta learn how to self fill...at home!!!!!!:lol:

Growing up I always thought I was fat...Now that I look back at my pix I wasnt...I was a size 7/8 in high school...I might have been bigger than most girls but I wasnt fat. I'm tall so I always felt bigger than all the other girls! I started gaining my weight in college....before I knew it I had gained about 75 lbs. We ate out all the time because it was convenient. I quickly lost 45 lbs only to gain it back plus 25 more....I cant wait to get back to a size 7/8...well I'll settle for 11/12 PPL dont realize the nasty things they say...my greatgrand father saw me last year and I hadnt seen him in a long time and the first thing he says is..you sure have put on some weight since the last time I saw you...my bestfriends dad saw me for the first time in about 5 years last month and he said the same thing....I cant wait to here.....WOW Kanina what have you been doing you look smaller than you did in highschool!!!

Yeah I got my bill for mine today and it is from the hospital that I had it done at I would call them!

I got my statement from my insurance company the other day and I thought that I would share the cost info that I got! This is a lot more expensive than what I thought it would be! According to my statement the total amount charged for my surgery..drugs and all $32,000.00!!!!!!! Isn't that alot??!!! I couldnt believe it!!! My portion :thumbup: $1100.00!!! Now that number is WAY less than what I was told so that part I am totally happy about

I dont know about you 4Jin but that B12 shot really made me feel better! I will def try the 5 hr shots...I have been seeing those everywhere and was wanting to try them...just hadnt.

Ok, so here’s my deal. Before surgery I would have a RedBull at least 2-3 per week. It really helps me get thru the day…well I haven’t had a RedBull since about a week before surgery and today I NEEDED SOMETHING…so even though I know carbonated drinks are a nono…I stopped and got a SUGARFREE redbull….took 1 little sip and well BIG mistake bc it was NASTY!!! So, whats a girl to do??? I NEED something for energy….I have been so fatigued and lifeless around 3pm everyday at work………HELP I NEED SOME ENERGY!!!!

I have been pretty impressed with empireblue. My doctor "waived" the psych eval and less than a week after submitting everything to insurance they said they needed it luckily i was able to get an appt superfast, the psych dr got my letter to them the SAME day that I saw him and I had my approval 4 days later!!! I had surger 1/31 and am doing fab!!

OUCH thats alot!! I had a dr's fee too but it was only $600. Actually, you know what...My insurance pays 80% plus I had to pay my deduct. I have only paid the dr $700 so far...and that included my $400 deduct. so I guess my doctors fee was only $300!!! And then I had to pay the hospital like $120 upfront since my insurance only paid 80% but thats all I have paid and I am 2 weeks out...No bills coming in yet Maybe you should shop around. I live in Alabama so I dont think you'd wanna travel that far. Good luck to ya!!

I cant sleep on my left side either...which sux bc thats my normal position. I keep wakingup in the middle of the night bc I have wandered over to my left side and it wakes me up....oh well!

Now I'm all worried....I took mashed potatoes and added a lot of water to them today...I had maybe 3 or 4 bites...It was really watery...so it was really nasty...but I started looking in the problems area of this forum and was reading alot about band slipping....my doctor told me that he does a lot to prevent that but Now I'm freakin out...bc I dont want it to slip....I can have full liquids but somehow feel that my watery mashed pots wouldnt classify.....am I stressin over nothing?? I'm just worried.

I feel a lot better today than I have....my big problem is "pressure" and STARVING!!! I over did it today bc I went out and getting in and out of the car really made my stomach hurt....I'm glad I took a week off of work. Where are you from? I'm on the east coast...good ole Alabama

I didnt expect to have any restriction after surgery. My doctor wont do a fill for me for at least 6 weeks...however...I'm thinking I amy advance to mushies a few days sooner cuz I cant take my stomach CONSTANTLY growling...it hurts.

I called the docs office first thing this morning and the nurse said that its gas...she said you're not able to burp effectively and your stomach is inflammed and you had all that gas pumped into that that is what is causing the sensation. She said to get GasX pills and take 1 tab with meals and 1 at bedtimes...she said once the stomach inflammation goes down that the sensations will go away!!!

I was banded on 1/31 and the first few days I wasnt hungry...but since yesterday I have been STARVING!!!!!! I drink....growling...drink some more and more growling...I was trying to go to sleep last night and couldnt bc my stomach was growling soo much...and it really hurts!!! I NEED something with more consistency....I can have full liquids...but I tell you this sux!

The worst part for me was waking up after surgery and having the VERY STRONG urge to vomit. I guess they gave me something cuz it went away and I went back to sleep. I slept most of the day of and day after. My doctor gave me Lortab elixer and it has pretty much kept me comfy. The most pain I have had is when I didnt take any meds all day on postop day2 and I really tried to move around alot...but took some meds and was all better. I am now postop day 4 and if my incisions didnt itch I would be doing good :eek:

My incisions are stitched under the skin and then I guess he glued the top. I dont know if he did a fill or not he didnt come out and talk to my family or anything!! I was kinda disappointed in that.
