  1. Chellede They gave me something in my iv for nausea. It worked like a charm. Feel better soon.
  2. Trisey I was sleeved on the 7th. I had gas pains really severely in my shoulder my left shoulder to be exact. The only thing that seemed to help me was the painkillers they gave me at the hospital. The other thing was I did my arms like windmills in back and forth. That helped some. That may be passed gas and I felt a lot better but every once in awhile I will still feel the pain.some people have to take prilosec or one of those gas type medication. I would call your doctor and ask for advice. Good luck.
  3. Diva I am so ready for food myself. I want some of that soft tuna from subway, lol. I think I could handle it!
  4. Diva I am doing great! Going to work tomorrow. Im getting all my protein in as well as water. Hru?
  5. We will miss you, good luck!
  6. Mygas pains, not micah spain, lol.
  7. Asmallersara Im glad you had no vomiting or nausea. The gasc strips helped me a little, not much. Walking and moving my shoulders in an airplane like move helped me more with the gas pains.Micah Spain's were mostly in my shoulders for some reason.
  8. I decided to work from home today instead. Thank you for thinking of me. I am still feeling great. I commute an hour to work in a commuter van and just didn't feel up to the long day How are you?
  9. Asmallersara How did you do last night? Very few doctors send you home the same night. I switched doctors for thst reason. I drsnk small sips every few minutes after the first night. Nothing but ice chips on surgery day post op. I was sleeved on 7 October.
  10. Leslie I didnt feel a choking sensation but a feeling of not enough room for what I was trying to drink. It lasted the first 2 days.
  11. Chelle, thank you so much! We will all to great!
  12. Susan I had my surgery on 7 October 2014 so tomorrow will be exactly one week post op.they did make me get up a couple of times the first night and a couple of times the second day to walk around but to be honest I was up every hour going to the bathroom anyway.I did do 30 minutes of walking each day since then and I'm thinking I may actually go into work tomorrow I was off today because of the holiday. My original plan was to go back to work next Monday but I'm feeling so good that I may go in in the morning.
  13. Susan I was sleeved about 130 in the afternoon and I got out of surgery about 3 p.m. I was out of it for that first night I did come around about 600 and I did not have any severe pain or even any gas pain I was doing a little bit of burpIng. I did throw up about 10 p. M. And it was a bloody Bile type of throw up. My doctor was called and said it was fine, just oozing from the surgery. It didn't happen again. I was able to do my swallow test the next morning and that went well. I got out of the hospital about 4 p.m. On the second day. I am able to drink protein drinks as well as the required water. My doctor required me to drink 90 to 100 grams of protein a day but the liquid was included in my liquid total.
