Hey all, It's me again on day three post op ........still very sore in port sight, but overall was a great experince. Just working on getting my energy back! have only got out of bed a couple of times in the past 3 days. Don't really have much gas pain which was a relief I was worried about that. Well better go lay back down. geting dizzy oh well love to all and good luck to next in line! Carrie

Hi all! had my surgwry on friday aug 5th. It has been a petty rough 2 days everything went great 47 min in surgery I will report a little mor later.....the port sight hurts like hell but as far as everything else is great!!!!

wow my surgery is in 2 days and really trying to be positive .....but man my nervous get the best of me always!! so I know how you feel.good luck to you!

hi all, still very nervous and excited! wow august allready!!!! Any way, my surgery was moved to Aug 5th, friday so you could change my date on the list. can't believe it is already here, I think the anticipation is the worst. I just keep thinking of some advice someone gave me it goes" nothing tastes as good as being thin feels!!!" AMEN carrie

I am not banded yet.1 week from today but I was told to get a timer won with sand (1 minute) i think and turn it over when you take a bite it helps you feel full when you really are. gives your mind time to catch up with your mouth and then again it should take you about 20min to get full! Just somethings I have been told hope it is helpful! carrie

what is the unjury shake is that a brand or a secret recipe!

I was told at my support group to try and use a small spoon(baby) and a very small plate I am not banded yet 1 week to go but that is what I was told to help with the portion thing, they also suggested to get a egg time ( 1 minute I think) and turn it over between each bite! good luck I'm sure I'll be in the same boat down the raod here!! Hi there, my name is Carrie! I am being banded on Aug 5th! I live in Colorado. My Dr. is James Smith. I was not aware I was supposed to start here, so some of you have already read some of my reponses to the great threads that you all have started. I am really glad I found this web sit. I have to tell you all I am very nervous, scared, excited. I think I read on someones reply it is like standing in line for a roller coaster for the first time, all those feelings at the same time. I am really surprised how each doctor is different on there policies for you to follow! I have learned that it is trial and error really, just what ever works for you. Well to be honest here I am a big wienie, I do not like pain but someone also said something that has stuck in my heart "NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS"! You all know exactly what to say to make a person feel at ease. Well I am 32 yrs old have 3 children 12/5/3 have been married for 13 years and have been overweight almost all of my married life. I am very ready to be skinny. I work full time in a dental office. Look forward to getting to know all of you great people in band land. Have a great night and talk to you soon!! Carrie

wow just when you get really motivated then you hear the real side of the band, I am getting bandednext week and now wondering DOES IT WORK or not is there any one who regrets it or would do it a hundred times over please help with the decision! carrie!
