  1. Yeyy!! I'm happy for you! I just got the phone call from the doctors office letting me know the date for pre-op testing is February 26 and my post-op appt will be march 24. Yeyy!! I'm so excited it's all coming together now. So I know you feel the same way! Good luck to you
  2. That was what I was trying to say and ask!! How can people that have the sleeve so early on eat like that! And then I was being taken as judge mental I'm sorry
  3. I just feel that my ignorance to the post op part of life, made me the enemy. Like I said, I just said it all wrong the first time. Like carolvalen said, I just thought that stuff would make people sick or that the stomach couldn't Handel it nor would I think anyone would want to chance eating it after surgery. Now I know that yes people can eat it and yes they do, I learn something everyday!
  4. Thank you Erp, I really am not judging anyone I have been judge plenty in my life I am a very open minded supportive person and I will always treat people the way I want to be treated! When I posted the first post I did not state or ask it the right way so now I'm the enemy. You are right I am just naive to how people can eat after surgery. Trust me I read I read constantly! I have studied and studied this life that I am about to enter, and I guess I learn something new every day!
  5. Yes I understand what everyone is saying. like I said I do not know how I will be, I guess I'm just praying that I don't want to eat bad. I love junk food, it's my enemy, I don't judge anyone I guess I'm just kinda surprised that they or anyone can stomach that food after surgery, I guess they can, huh. Well yes I will probably eat bad at times because God and I both know I'm not perfect! I just really pray that I don't fall back into these bad eating habits that I have had! Please don't get me wrong I know every one of us is in this same boat and I pray for all of us to do good and make the right choices.
  6. Well I really don't know about the one that just had it done, ( if she can eat the whole thing of nachos) but the one that eats chicken tenders and such, I've seen her eat the whole plate of food! I was really amazed and I swear her doc didn't do her sleeve right, is that even possible?
  7. Well I have not had my surgery yet, and I really don't know what I will do, but........I will not do the things I see people doing after they had surgery. I know two ladies that had the sleeve, one had it about 8 months ago the other one had it in dec. So I see one eating chicken strips with French fries and gravy and corn dogs and drinking dr pepper and all kinds of bad stuff, she's a customer of mine so that's why I see what she eats so much. The other lady just had her surgery December 8 and I see her the other day and she was eating nachos with cheese and jalapeños and I just can't believe it! What is wrong with that picture. Is it that they were lucky enough to have insurance pay for it and didn't have the struggle of paying for it out of pocket so it's kinda easy for them to not try, or is it that they don't have the will power to not eat that stuff? I just don't want to be that hungry after surgery that I resort to eating the "bad food" I like these ladies don't get me wrong and I will never say anything but I don't want to be like them after my surgery.
  8. Ohh I'm so jealous! I can't wait. Good luck to you and I will be praying!
  9. OMG I can't believe someone would say that, countrygrrl, that is just so stupid!! People are stupid. I mean REALLY!
  10. Thanks to all of you!! I feel better now, I was just so hurt and embarrassed I didn't want to be there anymore. Now I just keep the hope and know that I will be thin soon enough and I will feel so much better!!! Thanks to all and skinny on.....
  11. Thank you!! Yes I just can't belive someone would say that kind of thing to someone! I just can't wait till I loose all of my weight and then what !

  14. Money and only money has been my hold up! So this year I decided that........every year I spend my income tax on everyone else and everything else, that it's my turn and I'm spending it on me! So that's why I've had to wait so long, Plus I had to save the rest of the money. I will be paying it in-full the first week in February !!!!! Can't wait!!! Yeyyyyy!!!!!!
  15. I am ready too!! My mother had the lap- band done 7 years ago and I really thought that's what I was going to do( when I could come up with the money) but a year ago I started saving and discovered that the sleeve was the one and only for me! So here we go........ I live in south texas almost to huntsville texas but I am having my surgery done in Dallas tx. Can't wait!!!!! Yeyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! Keep in touch and we can be a support team!
  16. Yeyyy!!! Yes and I'm so excited, I've already waited for six months and still have 7 weeks 4 days to go!!!!!! I'm sure your excited as well..
  17. Just to say, my mother had the lap-band put in 7 years ago and she struggles everyday with it and she has to pay a fee every time she needs a "fill" she now wants the sleeve. My doctor told me he does 3 revisions a week. So that is pretty telling if you ask me, I originally wanted the band also but then did my homework and The Sleeve It Is! So good luck and be well!
  18. Be happy that's all you're paying, you could be paying all of it like me 12,500 cash and in other places up to 26,000 in cash. Wheww wee! Just be HAPPY
  19. Mexico is a great option to go with. The only way I was going to have surgery was cash pay also. Mexico has some really great doctors that will do it for a reasonable price so you might want to check into it.
  20. I've seen so many pictures of different people and most look a lot younger.
  21. Dr Alverez on border of Eagelpass Tx and Negras Pedras ,mexico. They quoted me 8,500.00. Just look him up he's real popular and speaks English and his nurse susan lives in the states. Hope that helps
  22. I haven't had surgery yet but I don't think I ever want to eat bread! I have a problem with bread already as a "big stomach" person, lol...so I could just imagine eating it after having gastric sleeve surgery. Wheww wee that's a nightmare I don't want to come true!!!! Lol
  23. Go for it!! I myself only have 60lbs to loose but I know it's a matter of my health. So I decided to cash pay and get it done, I know it will be the best thing to happen for me. I'm go in march 11 2015! Yeyy!!
