  1. Cottage cheese with salt and pepper. Yumm yumm!!
  2. OMG!! I can totally relate! I also had a drain tube, it sucked! And when the doctor removed it it took him two pulls and the second pull, I almost came of the bed. Not everybody gets this pleasure but some do, and I'm glad it's over!! Good luck to All!!!
  3. I had my surgery march 11th. I went thru the same feelings you are, I'm sorry that they are not being discreet about there "habits" my honey was great and kept it all under wraps but the kids, not so much! Kids are kids they don't understand. Well I promise all of the bad feelings will soon pass, I still do get upset when I see someone eating a big juicy burger, because I can't even take one bite, but then I look at myself in the mirror and not having the burger is worth it! Well good luck and it will get better
  4. Well good luck with that! I feel that being a forum stalker, it helped me learn a lot more. So keep stalking!!
  5. @@ArtSmartInNH the gas pains were the worst!! Just have some one beat on your back and it helps a lot at least for a little bit. It will get better. Good luck!
  6. @@mysleeve ok so I pray for you!! Just remember that everyday after surgery gets better day to day. If you are like most you will wonder what the hell you did to yourself but it will pass with the coming days! Make sure you ask for your pain Meds ahead of time! Have someone pound on your upper back and that will help with the gas pains! You will do great! Good luck! P.s. Listen to your doctor
  7. I'm having that same feeling today!!! It sucks, so I just decided to do soft foods and liquid protein drinks today and tomorrow and see if maybe I can get something moving, I just don't know. So I know how you feel, Good luck
  8. @@TWJ I had mine march 11th so it's still fresh for me also!! I felt the same way you do, I can only tell you to take one day at a time. Every night I went to sleep I would think to myself " one more day down" so the next day would get a little better, and everyday still gets better. I promise it does get better, I hated everyone around me and really hated that I had to be fat that I would even have to have surgery. Now I am getting back to normal, still a little sore only because I had a hernia repair also. We will be ok and very Happy in the end!! Good luck!
  9. Yes !!!!!! I have realized the same thing! I feel like my lungs are a little on the sore and weak side! I wonder why we feel that way???
  10. I did not have a revision, but I did get my sleeve done march 11, it is great! Yes you can eat too fast and have the stuck feeling, yes you can eat and vomit also! The thing is that you are not starving or so hungry that you want to "shove it in" at least not me. I no longer live to eat I now eat to live! My mother has the band and she struggles daily with it, she is still hungry, because of course they do not remove the hunger hormone when they do the band, but with the sleeve a lot of those hunger hormones are removed thus for you are not hungry all the time! I do feel full after just a few bites of food and I stop. I do not feel that my stomach feels any different, just that it's sore inside from surgery, I had mine sewn done inside because of other reasons so I am just a little sore. Just don't eat too big of bites and chew your food and stop when your new tummy tells you to and you will do great! Liquids liquids liquids and then soft liquids and then eggs, tuna, cottage cheese , yogurt, cheese, some moist chicken ground turkey meat, deli meats, plus every doctor is different!! Good luck
  11. Yeyy!! I'm so happy for you!! You will be very happy. It's all worth it in the middle and the end! My mom has the band and she has a hard time. I wish she would get the sleeve.
  12. I had both done and no acid reflux at all!! Im very happy!
  13. I had my surgery at Texas General Hospital in arlinton tx with Dr Clayton Frenzel
  14. Hope you get to feeling better soon!
  15. Oh my the gas pain in the shoulder is awful!! I just had surgery Wednesday the 11th and then again Friday the 13th late. So I have to deal with this pain again , it sucks!! Take one day at a time that's all we can do.
  16. Thank you I feel a little better today so I will just take one day at a time!! Hope I can go back to work when I need to though, that's on the 25th so I just pray.
  17. Well last night around 11:00 pm they took me back to the O.R. And had to have a second surgery, my stomach was going up into my esophagus and that is why nothing could go down. So now I'm in hella pain because he had to suture my stomach down in place and loosen up the hernia he repaired the first surgery . So now I have a drain pump that I have to have for a week and then go back to have it removed. So has anyone had this happen to them. I just can't wait to feel better
  18. @@Bonawanabfree I had mine yesterday and I feel awful! The fluid is not going to my stomach so I have to stay another day. Ugggh!! Well I hope we both get to feeling better soon. I am one who wants to be well and happy everyday! So this feeling sucks
  19. @Elode. Thank you I need the prayer. I feel just awful!
  20. @@tattooedmum72 yep that's me I can work out everyday at the gym and never loose a pound, even when I am eating right so I decided to get the sleeve!
  21. @@Elode well it's done! Yesterday was a long day and the worry is over, now I just have to get thru this rough part. So I started drinking but I knew something was wrong and about 3:00 this morning I started throwing up and so they did the upper g I and it shows that the fluid is not going down. My throat is too swollen from the hernia repair that it won't let the liquid down so now I have to stay longer and wait for swelling to go down and then hopefully be able to drink without it coming right back up. So I'm just taking it one day at a time and I pray I will feel better soon!
  22. @@Elode Thank you I am now awake and I just have to take one step at a time today and then tomorrow, I will keep fighting!
  23. It's 10:33 Tuesday night of march 10, 2015 and in the morning I begin my new life! I am so nervous and scared, I just don't know how this is going to go for me. The not knowing is really hard for me. Everyone has such different pain amounts and sickness, so I just don't know how my body will react so that makes me scared. Well good luck to me!
  24. Sitting here in my hotel room and all I can do is worry! I am so scared about tomorrow,it makes me sick to my stomach. I just pray to God that I have a successful process. I wish I could not have much pain, and no sickness, but I know that's asking too much. Just pray it's not as bad as I here some people say!! Tomorrow here I come!!
  25. Awww. I'm sorry. I really hope I'm not hungry, that is one of my fears, is that I'm going to be starving and I don't want that!! I really hope that it gets better for you! Try to drink your protein, hopefully that can help. Good luck
