  1. You have all of tomorrow to sleep. Think surgery as the ultimate rest and relaxation
  2. I know, me too. It's crazy, I feel like I am a WLS related bipolar patient. I usually make my mind about something and go with it. This is so different. A roller coaster of emotions.
  3. What's food intake like at 7-8 months? What do you eat in a day? I have a good sense of the first couple months post-op but as you heal and all, I was wondering if if it's still the 1/2 cup food per meal. I have seen so many posts on stretching pouches, I don't know what to expect.
  4. Blast @shonlsLove I messed up your screen name on my previous post, sorry. So, are you excited or scared out of your mind?
  5. Oh, a brand new Gladiator going Oct 20th @SholsLove Good luck
  6. @@GFord889 I so understand your struggle. It should be okay you are still 7 days out. So you tripped but you can get up and keep going. I have been having a hard time too. When I get very busy, I don't eat/drink enough throughout the day and at dinner time I can't control my portion size. It is soooo hard. I can deliver a baby but I cannot control my food intake for one dinner, crazy but true.
  7. Oct 20th Is @amylyns day, a long awaited step on a long journey. It is also @@VASCRN turn Good luck gladiators
  8. @@Kindle I am totally okay with your choice, I would appreciate the same curtesy with mine. You love to share, I don't. Does that make you better then me? The moment you comment about how others should feel, and how it's BS you kind of cross a line. As long as you are defending your choices and in the process trying to educate others on the validity of your argument/position you stand on moral solid ground. Even not understand other's positions is understandable. Lots of people have trouble with empathy. But asking what are you ashamed of? Really! So glad you didn't pick psychology as your profession. Perhaps you can be a great campaigner for WLS surgery instead. I wish you nothing but the best on your endeavors. Yours is a worthy cause. Is this healthy debate? - NO, it is neither helpful nor instructive but it is hurtful.
  9. Vitamins are like sale days at Nordstrom, if you miss them they are gone. No, you can't take extra pills to make up. I purchased a pill case at walgreens with an alarm. Perhaps you could set your phone for an alarm at pill taking time. You have to take your vitamins and supplements your you will be in such much trouble. You are clearly not eating enough. During lunch can you go for a little walk or get some soft music on headphones to kind of leave the world of stress for 10 minutes. Even consider wearing light blocking cover for your eyes. It's about figuring out how to turn off the sensory pollution around you and in your mind. A good way for me has been to take a mini trip. I visualize what place I will be visiting for my trip, what I would pack, do on the first day, what i would eat,etc . While I keep my mind busy on all the trip prep I am not thinking about my stress. My sister in law plays candy crush saga, because it's mindless (doesn't work for me). Then start eating very slowly some good food you enjoy. You could fix your 5 workday meals on the weekend and freeze them. This way at lunch there would me no need to go get food from somewhere adding further stress. Make lunch your quiet time - think Zen.
  10. Good Night Moon.
  11. @ Melora Are you there, how are you feeling?

  13. @@amylynns Hope it's not so bad. i had the constipation issue on top, In your case you have an "out" I did not. But I may take a while for things to get moving but once they start you'll be busy.

  16. You don't have to start Biotin right away. Let your pouch heal a little. It is not essential right away
  17. The sodium citrate is horrible and hurts as it works through you. That's why Smiley didn't get much sleep.
  18. Biotin is the tiniest of pills and it is to prevent hair loss, hopefully!
  19. Yes 4 bottles, I honestly thought I was going to die. You should have seen the size of my tummy. Think Goodyear blimp
  20. @@Bronxmerci there is no room in your tummy for any food. It's chuck full of pills. No wonder we lose weight with WLS
  21. OMG I thought I was the only person who had gone through that. My doctor said it was impossible after 4 bottles os sodium citrate. Basically he didn't believe that I had consumed that much. I had not been able to go for 14 days. Imagine. Later i found out it was the Percs. I was so mad the doctor didn't tell me. heck at least I could have been taking laxatives. I cannot believe how uncaring health care professionals are to constipation. It is a BIG DEAL
  22. My pill taking routine is like an ordeal. I am glad I am not alone. Are you all taking sublingual B12 as well and Biotin?
  23. Yes, you are supposed to have extra iron besides the multi because menstruating women need extra
  24. @ Bronxmerci. I know your pain. A had a back injury and was on Percocet for a while. Got so constipated I had to go to emergency room. No one had told me the medicine like stalls your flow to a dead stop. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life. the worst was I still had horrible back pain but that the other issue on top.
