Can anyone compared RNY to c-section?
very similar experience with me, too. the worst rny pain was the gas, i only took pills for my dehydration headache. and my baby was only 13 months at the time, so i couldn't avoid not lifting her for weeks. we managed. Thank you so much! Hooboy, My kids will be 2 and almost 5 at the time of my surgery. I'll have to let the 2 year old be her independent self (I may be guilty of not wanting her to get big!) and assist vs. do things for her girl I'm still crying every time i box up her old clothes. she's an only, so i have to take advantage!

Things I hate about being skinny
lol i love this! i still have a while to go, and paradoxically my butt has gotten bigger yet with my tailbone it hurts more to sit. and lying on my side means knee bone rub. just bones, man. all the bones. except the collar bones. those are just fantastic

Nausea
I'm only 3.5, but I only feel nauseated when low on water or my belly is empty for too long.

first progress pics
i had my surgery 6/9/15. today i met a big goal of mine: 215, aka my smallest adult weight. i looked at my day of surgery pic, and i am amazed at the change that's happened in such a short time. so here's my dos pic and one from today. and also some face pics...for most of my life, i was overweight but i never had a full face until the last 4 years. so very glad it's slimmed back down!

How about some NSVs!?!?
so, about 6 weeks ago, i scored some size 18 (older and newer) jeans for $6. the newer 18s were a little tight, the older ones are at most today's 16s. i'm now in the "tighest" pair. i was last in a 16 when i was 16 lol. then my most awesome mil took me shopping. i'll post my first progress pic in that outfit when i wear it to her party :big cheesy grin:

What to do with clothes
i like donating to those places, too, cause i think about how much harder it is to find my size there. except this time it's not the clothes i've outgrown!

June 8th...
how is everyone? i had my first complication: dehydration. got dizzy and even fainted! but i'm on the mend and on a schedule! i drink for 30 mins every other hour so that i have met my goal by the end of the day. and i broke through my 3 week stall. as of today i am 48lbs down from surgery at 228lbs, 71 down from highest weight. yall i don't even remember the last time i was that size! feelin good, lookin fine!
-
I know I'm weird and sometimes a little stupid, but I had to know
i only get sick when i eat or drink too much. but i got the surgery prinarily to curb my overeating. i'm not a sweets person, so i haven't had too much trouble, but i loved my chips. i tried some, and the texture completely destroyed the desire lol

Severe dehydration
oh man, i fainted once from dehydration. so not cool. what has helped me is making a schedule. every other hour i give myself 30 mins to drink 250ml of flavored water. at 9 weeks out, i can drink pretty well (in the beginning it's so hard to drink normal, but not anymore). so from 8-830 i drink, then from 9-930 i eat, etc. i should add that i am told to drink 1500ml a day, which is about 50 oz, and by the end of the day i'll have closer to 1750ml.

How about some NSVs!?!?
oh!! and i tried on my wedding dress from 3 years ago, and it was falling off!! that felt pretty good

How about some NSVs!?!?
well, this is related to the scale, but still a nsv lol i hadn't logged on here in a while and decided to update my ticker. it moved me to tears to have a visual representation of my journey. when you're a noob and you see everyone's success, you think, wow they've come so far and i'm just beginning! but, oh, when *your* ticker finally moves and even gets to the halfway mark, it feels soooooo great! i'm 71lbs from my highest weight, 48 from surgery. woohoo!!
-
How much weight? How fast?
do be patient! i just came out of a 3 week stall the end of july and the scales been moving ever since (with no shortage of lost inches!). lol when you're in it you think, aww man lol. but there is a light at the end of the tunnel

June 8th...
hey! good here too. down 32lbs, feeling great. i tried on my wedding dress from years ago which is now too big, that was a fun treat. still one of my better decisions.

Anyone else's post op like this?
my plan is liquids for 2 days, 3-15 pureed and soft, 15+ normal. I'm in Europe. did you ask your dr why this is his plan?

Starting year two, feeling hopeless
I'm not a vet, but i did notice you said nothing of exercise. I've read others say changing the exercise routine can kickstart a stall.
