  1. I meant to also say that is for one day, and it cannot exceed 900 calories. The first three days were tough! Caffeine headaches, tired and lethargic. But today, day 4, I was more alert and energetic.
  2. I am allowed up to 6 ready to drink protein shakes, water, sugar free jello, and sugar free Popsicles.
  3. I am scheduled to have a gastric bypass on November 4th. I had my last surgical consult today. I decided, along with my surgeon's advice, to have the gastric bypass. I have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea. Thus, due to my health issues the bypass surgery is the best option for me. Good luck with your decision and journey!
  4. Praying that the Lord will watch over you, take care of you, and that the surgery is successful with no complications and a speedy recovery.
  5. Hi my surgery is November 4th. My last surgeon consult is this Friday. I am on my 2nd day of a pre op liquid diet.
  6. Praise the Lord! I have not had my surgery yet. I started this journey 5 years ago, and after many obstacles I am scheduled to have my surgery on November 4th. If it had not been for the Lord, who is on my (Our) side I would not have been able to persevere through the denials, and have had the patience to wait. I believe that as a Christian we have the greatest support system in the world!
  7. I am a newbie, but I have been reading the blog since May. My journey started 5 years ago, and after going to several seminars, switching insurances , and finally finding the Bariatric Center I liked I am scheduled for surgery on November 4th of this year. I felt that after 4 months of reading everybody else's story that it was time for me to come out of the shadows and be a fully committed member. I live in Southern New Jersey, and I am having my surgery at Cooper Hospital with Dr. BBrendan McConnell.
  8. I met my surgeon in April 2014. I had blood work, sleep apnea test, six minute walk pulmonary test, pulmonary fitness test, chest X Ray, Ultrasound of stomach, ENG, and Stress test in June and July 2014. I have been seeing a nutritionist since July monthly. I think tests are necessary and vital before surgery. I am scheduled for November 4th. But I still have Psychological tests and nutritional goals to be ready by November 4th. I think you should ask your Doctor and consult others. This is your life, right?
  9. I will be praying for you also. My surgery is November 4th. I can only imagine what you feel.
