  1. Exactly! Talking to my husband is like talking to a wall. He knows hoe I feel but doesnt understand the toll it takes on ur emotions ya know. Like u said u also have the same insurance so this is very helpful. I should hear from the bariatric doctors office this week about the requirements from UH for me. Keep ur fringers crossed for me that they wont make me wait 6 months!! Will keep u ladys updated and u do the same pls

  3. How many times did u see the doctor within that time frame?.. my BMI is right at 40.68 or something like that so if I loose 10 pounds I wont b able to have the surgery so waiting 6 months just to have the surgery would really suck!! Im ready for the change.

  5. Okaaaaay! I definitely wana know how everything goes, especially since we have the same insurance I can really learn a lot from you on this journey. If I have any questions along the way I will return to this thread so you will b hearing alot from me lol.
  6. Having kids will definitely do it! I was 135 before I had my son. I went up to 230 when I had him. Went down to 200 then I had my daughter and went up to 275. I have been stuck at 265. But we are bout to be on the losing side soon!!
  7. Ur right, it will. I just got the insurance after months of the run around. After having my 2 kids I have stayed at about 250. Im 265 now. My bmi is about 42. How bout u if u dont mind me asking?
  8. Is it 6 months without any ailments? Like if I have sleep apnea for example do u know if they have different requirements or its all the same?... how exciting! Sept 8th is right around the corner! So happy for u, I cant wait to have my surgery date!! Well, I live in florida. And u?
  9. Thank u! My bariatric doctor told me as long as i had 4-6 visits w/ my PCP i should be fine however he cant confirm becuz the insurance change their requirements all the time. Hopefully I dont have to wait 6 months! Im ready to kick depression in the face and feel good again!!... Have u had ur surgery yet? How has the journey been for u? Has the insurance given u a hard time?
  10. U have united health?? Well so do I and I would love to know what were the requirements? Did they require 6 or 3 months of weightloss monitoring? I am so excited and ready to being this journey! My insurance wont be effective for a few more days. Any information, feedback or words of wisdom would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
  11. 1.see ppl that I went to high school and middle school with and not be embarrassed 2. No longer having to do the "pinch and pull" to my shirt when I sit down bcuz it gets caught under my belly 3. saying good bye to thigh chaffing 4. Smiling w/o seeing a double chin 5. Getting rid of my fat clothes 6. Shopping at the mall in normal stores 7.having comfortable and versatile sex 8. Putting on my shoes EASILY 9. Making a plate of food or eating in front of ppl and not feeling embarrassed 10. Getting dressed or shopping without feeling depressed but feeling SEXY instead!!!!!
  12. Hi, im new to this and am so excited to begin this journey to a better me! My insurance wont be effective for a few more days but I wanted to know what is the process like going through UHC (United Health Care)? Do they require 6 months of monitor weightloss?? Any info or advice would b appreciated PLEASE???
