Ok so it's been a little tough with the food situation since my surgery on Monday, but OMG I just got on the scale and I have lost 10# since my surgery!!! I am under the 300's!!!!! I haven't seen 299 in a long time! I have lost a total of 27 pounds in 2 months! I think that will get me through the next week and a half of soft foods.

That is amazing! So great that you can lose that much! I am struggling to lose 20! I am down 16 since sept 1st. But hopefully that will all change come Monday!!!! Getting a little nervous and excited.

Thank you both so much. I will take a look into the meds. I have been fine this whole time. I'm hoping it is just a little stomach thing this week and it will get better soon. but i will definitly look. These 2 weeks are going to be crazy with getting ready for this and my son with Tech week for Sound of Music which opens on the 11th! Crazy!!

Ok so I am still 17 day away from surgery and I Am already getting nauseous when I drink the protein shakes. I have been drinking them for about a month now because was having a hard time losing weight and doc put me on liquid/green/lean meat diet. Any suggestions as to maybe changing up the shakes?

October is here! Just 20 more days for me! October 20th can't come too soon

I am SOOOOO ready! My date is October 20th in Boston. Have already lost 10 pounds and still dropping. Can't wait to be able to fit in auditorium and theater seats (Son does theater) and feel comfortable being the assitant coach on my daughter's softball team!

I just got my date! October 20th, I am already doing a liquid and Lean and Green diet. I have lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. will be doing this until surgery. I hope that I can get down at least 10 more before surgery because I also have to have my gallbladder out as they found gall stones. she said that if she can't take it during surgery, she will do another surgery 3-4 months after to take it out. Really don't want to have to have 2 surgeries.

Craving carbs sooo badly! This is my 2nd week on my mostly liquid diet. 2 shakes, veggies, a high protein low carb dinner, sf jello and sf Popsicles a day. Will be doing this until my surgery date because I suck at losing weight on my own. Hence the need for surgery. Lol. Waiting for ins approval then I can get a date. Hopefully the end of October. My husband hasn't killed me yet. That is a plus

My doctor told me I had to bring my CPAP machine. Some hospitals have them and you only need to bring your mask and tubing. She told me that sometimes if there are a lot of people that need it, you may not get one.

I want to be able to go to New York to see a broadway show an not worry about fitting in the seats. Missed 2 trips to see them with my kids because I wouldn't fit in the seats!

@@iam_bLythe day 1 of liquid diet today! It is almost lunchtime and I am doing o.k. Typically between 10:30 and noon is my "Snacking time" I like the term Head Hunger. because I know know that is my issue! I just want to chew something, so I have a stick of gum in my mouth and that is helping I think. We will see how the rest of the day goes.

I think it's because insurance authorization is the last step in the process before they will schedule a surgery date. So as soon as it is approved, then my surgeon wants to schedule a date as soon as possible. I need to lose 16 pounds before surgery to shrink my liver. Plus I have to lose it anyway.

I have to start my liquid diet now, even before I have a surgery date because I gained 3 pounds since April. I think mostly from quitting smoking. I have everything done, just an ultrasound because they found gallstones when they did my upper GI. I am really dreading it, but hopefully I can get through it. I am waiting my doctor is sending my paperwork to get approval from the ins company, BCBS of Mass. Does anyone have experience with being denied because of a weight gain? Even just 3 pounds? Dr. Didn't seem to be too concerned, but I have to go to the nutritionist to start my liquid diet now, even before getting a surgery date, who she said could be November!! Don't think I can last that long on a liquid diet!!!

Thank you! I think part of the gain was because it was 3:30 in the afternoon and the beginning of my time of the month ( tmi) sorry! Will see what happens on Monday when I see the nutritionist.

They found gallstones when I has my upper GI so my surgeon scheduled an ultrasound to see if she will have to remove my gallbladder during surgery
