I had to move my mom from assisted living to a locked memory care unit last week. She has alzheimer's and tried to leave the facility in the middle of the night. It has been very hard and stressful.

  6. @@Vsglady I hope not too well. Milk of magnesia works too well for me, then I have the opposite problem.
  7. @@Peekboo My doctor gave me a referral for a trainer at our community wellness center. I need to set up an appointment and start some strength training.
  8. @@Peekboo Don't say "only". Go pick up 27 pounds worth flour. 27 is great!
  9. @@waitin2bthin Congrats on your weight loss! I had my surgery October 14th. My goal was 25 for my two week check up. I think I lost 22 by then.
  10. Hi, I had my 6 week check up last Tuesday. They snipped a thread that had come to the surface. Yesterday, it started hurting, there is a bump there and it is a little red. The doctor's office is closed till Monday. I'm trying to decide if I need to call the doctor on call or just let it go till Monday. It doesn't feel hot and I'm not running a fever. Has anyone else had this experience?
  11. I'm doing well. I am on pureed foods till Tuesday, then I can start ground meats, vegetables, and fruits. I am feeling good, have lots of energy. Excited to have some turkey and sweet potato on Thanksgiving.
  12. Current weight 251.

  14. @@laceykp What is your plan? I am a little over a month out. I am feeling pretty good and losing pretty well. I can send you the plan my doctor gave me. Did they have you meet with a nutritionist? Is there one available you could meet with? There is lots of support on this forum. Hang in there.
