Okay tomorrow is Oct 1st. This is going to be my banding month (oct 11). Who else is out there???? What is your Oct date??? This month is going to fly by.

Hy everyone, It was fun going through all this with you. I think everyone did really awesome. I made my goal of 11 pounds. That feels so good. Cangratualtions to the winners!!!!!! Wishing even more losses in the future. Thanks again for putting this on, it was just the push I needed.

You all are doing so well. I am was beginning to think that I would never be able to make it by Aug. 5th. But I have one more pound to go before I hit the goal. I think I might make it. I have hit ONDERLAND!!!!! I am down 65 pounds now. Whew was that some work. Everyone here is such a motivator, pat yourselves on the back. Everyone is doing so great so far. I am down 5.5 pounds. I am 5 pounds away from ONEDERLAND. I may not win but if I can get there by Aug 5th I will be my own winner. I have been sick the last three days and unable to workout. UGH!!! Keep it up everyone you are all doing GREAT!!!!

I am not dropping out I am going to try to give you all a run for the money. lol I am only 7 pounds from ONEderland woo hoo I can't wait. How is everyone else doing?????

This is just the motivation I needed to get beck on track. So I had an NSV today. For the first time I have run 4.05 miles. Usually I run about 3-3.5 but today it was 4. I am feeling pretty good about that. I hope I can see that in the scales. Oh today I weighed in at 208.

So my offical weight as of this a.m. is 209.5. So if I win this I will be in onederland. JQ and everyone else I hope to give you a run for your money.

Well I had surgery on 10/11/05 and it had seemed everything went well. I was up and walking with in an hour I was smiling and sipping my water. Everything went well. Then I started getting stomach cramps. Kinda like contractions one would come a bit of pain then pass. then they got worse. I asked the nurse for some pain meds and was told only every 6 hrs. The pain started getting worse. They then told me it was gas pain and that I needed to walk around. I was doubleing over in pain. I got maybe halfway around and they need to get me a wheelchair to take me back to my room, I threw up. They called Doc and he said it must be swelling and said some steriods would work but nothing by mouth. Next day had a barium swallow I started feeling sick to my stomach and started throwing up again. Doctor took a look at the x rays and said something looks "peculiar". Peculiar? What does that mean? Doc says I don't know but you need another barium swallow. Went down again took more pictures started throwing up again. I was in quite a bit of pain. My stomach kept cramping up. After doctor looked at the fluroscopy he said something is not quite right barium is pooling. He wants to do an endoscopy and see what is going on, he may have to go back in and "straighten" out the band. So I get preped for surgery again. So what happened? you ask. Well, doc says some how my stomach got kinked behind my band where doc could not see. But as soon as he did the endoscopy he could see why I was in so much pain. He went back in and straightened it out. I was able to drink again and went home that night. I am feeling MUCH better. No throwing up since second surgery. <!-- end comments -->

I feel ya girl. I am just in the beginning of the clear liquids, but man o man I would love a protien shake right about now. I am making up recipes of shakes. So sad:rolleyes: .

Your kind words and encouragment really mean a lot. Every little bit I am feeling better. Yes, I wanted to share my story with everyone. Not to discourage, but to keep everyone informed. Do I regret my decision? NO WAY. I know this is my way to a better life. You all are AWESOME!!!!!!

My stomach is doing flip flops and has been all day. I am nervous but very ready for the surgery. I will be leaving at 6:30 am for surgery at 9:00am. I hope I can get some sleep tonight but it does not look to promising. Maybe I can catch up on some movies tonight. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and wisdom. It has been invaluable to me. I have to stay overnight in the hospital but will let you know how things went as soon as I am home.

Welcome back!!! Glad to here everything is going well for you. It is very encouraging to hear.

I just got off the phone with my insurance. I am approved for surgery. I can't believe it. I swear this has been the longest 3 weeks ever. I have no fingernails, and i think I think I have eaten over half of the state (total stress eater). This is such a relief. So I will be having surgery on OCT 12. Any others out there with October dates? Everybody here is so awesome.

How sweet of you. There are so many of us that are going to be on the losing side this month. It is nice to see it all in one place. I hope those of you that have had your surgery are doing well.

Hi all, Maybe this is just me getting all worked up over nothing but I have a head cold (stuffy nose, coughing). Today is Oct 1 almost the 2 and my sugery is on the 11th. Should I worried? Would they cancel my sugery because of this? Should I fake that I am fine and say nothing? ok too many questions. I am worried that they will cancel my sugery. I am not so sick that I can't work. I have been working.

Went to my PCP and I have a sinus infection that is draining in my throat YUK. So I called surgeons office to make sure meds are ok. She says um I dont think so. You can't be on antibiotics before sugery. The band is a foreign object and the antibiotics could mess with it. So I am scrambling (while driving, and talking on the phone):phanvan to find the Rx. Doc gave me this stuff called Z Max one time dose. So I say wait this is one time I take it today and that is it. I will not be on it when I have surgery. She goes and talks to the doc and he says OK. Whew, that was too close.

Hello all, I am going to be banded in about 9 days and am trying to tie up any loose ends. I was wondering if any of you pre-prepared meals for your families prior to surgery? My hubby will try but really not that great of a cook. What did you make? Ideas would be so helpful.

YIKES you guys. My pre-op is on the 5th and so far I was told nothing. I am trying to control my eating though. I think I have lost 4 pounds. October is here and our surgeries are right around the corner ladies. Wishing everyone an easy surgery with a quick recovery.
