  1. I am scheduled for January 27th ???? 10 a.m. The excitement is real lol. I was concerned about getting my money together for my co-pay. My training coordinator told me that she paid 1600. I was beating myself up cause I set that date cause I was excited and that was the date she said so I went with it.... After I got off the phone I was like "fu*k"...... Today I came up with a bright idea and thought I would call my secondary insurance (caresource) and see if they would cover the expenses that my primary (Aetna) wouldn't cover.... Thank god for giving me that bright idea. They will cover the remaining expenses!!!!! So relieved. I was going to use part of my tax money to pay the co-pay.... Now I can put that money towards a car. God is good! I'm so excited. I had my pre-op appointment today. While I was there, I doubled checked with the insurance coordinator and she said since I had caresource as a secondary they won't have to collect anything from me???? I had my "before photo" taken today. Pre admission testing is on the 13th. That includes: lab work, chest x-ray, EKG, upper GI, Pulmonary and cardiac testing, and meeting with my dietician.
  2. Surgery is scheduled for January 27th!!!!!!
  3. Thanks!!!! I'm excited!!!!!
  4. So I had the option to choose a 6 month supervised diet with my pcp or 3 months with a dietician.......... obviously I chose the dietician lol. I began on October 10th and my last appointment was on December 8th. I called on the 16th to see if my surgeon's office submitted the paperwork over like they said they would that day and it was submitted and she informed me that I was approved:-) Yesterday the surgeon's office called (I missed the call) and wants me to call between 11-5 today! I'm excited!
  5. So my last visit with the dietician was on December 8th...... yesterday I called aetna to double check and see if the paperwork was submitted in... the said that it was and I was approved!!!!!!! Excited to the max lol
  6. Thanks ???????????????? I will definitely post my progress once I hit the losers bench ????
  7. I am still in my pre-op stage. My 3 and final appointment with the dietician and the surgeon is on the 8th.... At that appointment they will be submitting my all of my stuff to Aetna. I went be having the surgery until the end of February cause I will need my tax return to pay for my copay of 1600... I'm so glad that my battle with obesity is almost over ???????????????????? from the various post from here and Facebook support groups I have learned to strictly follow the diet plan and to go hard with exercise the first 6 months cause that's when the most of the weight comes off. I Never really had a problem with losing the weight.... the problem was keeping it off. I believe the sleeve will aid me in that because it provides restriction. I am very optimistic and I believe I will succeed..... I have eliminated pop. From here on out I will be working on portion control and sweets..... that way I can have a handle on it now....... Age: 34 HW: 305 (2012) CW: 280 GW: 150 HEIGHT: 5'8" All advice is welcome!!!!!!
  8. Hmmm.... I'm just starting my process. I didn't get charged twice. I was charged my regular copay. I had my my first visit with the surgeon a couple of weeks ago. I seen the dietician in the same visit. When I go back, I will just pay the same copay. I decided to go with the 3 monthly visits with the dietician over the 6 monthly visits with the physician to save money......
