  1. Hi! I was sleeves on July 14 2014 so I'm 5 weeks post op. I started my regular food on my 4th week if not before and im a carb lover, actually that's all i used to eat And im craving them a lot! I know i should be eating protein first but i dont end up doing that! And when i eat, i feel full, but i keep eating! I dont know why im doing this to myself i feel like im stretching my stomach and that's terrible! Everyday i say I'll stop tomorrow but i just dont. Breakfast and lunch are great and i know what to eat but the night is when everything is messed up. I think i need some motivation. Help please.
  2. Thanks! I think ur right i should find ways that would help me love my new lifestyle. I think its just once every while that i feel that way. And Congrats about losing 100 lbs thats a great number!!
  3. I live in the US but I did my surgery overseas. Im almost 6 weeks post op and i haven't taken any protein shakes yet. I'm only consuming around 21 g of protein. I dont know what to eat to get more protein. Im eating chicken tuna eggs but no matter how much i eat i cant reach 60-80 g. What can I do? Or eat?
  4. Yup! Im almost 6 weeks post op, i had the 3rd week stall too, i lost 17 lbs only in my first month. But dont let that demotivate you. You're body is still getting used to the low amount of food and is still trying to store some. But it will eventually start burning the fat. Just stick to your doctors instructions and start walking, walking is what made the difference with me.
  5. The same thing is happening to me! Im 5 weeks post op and i get full quickly but like you said my mind isnt satisfied with the little amounts i am eating.. And at times I've eaten more, felt sick yes but didnt care at the moment. Im really scared of stretching my sleeve! Head hunger sucks! Its my biggest issue right now.

    Introducing Myself

Hey! You shouldn't be worried about taking this step. I feel like this decision will actually make your relationship much better especially that your husband is supportive. It really isnt that hard. All you have to do is follow instructions and know what to eat to stay healthy. I really think you should do it, dont wait any longer. And i promise you wont regret it at all! Good luck with everything you do!

    Only lost 10lbs - WTF

Everyone's body is different. Some starting losing very slow and then pick up and some lose quite a lot at first and then slow down. Just listen to your body and everything will be okay. Make sure you're getting your protein, Water, and Vitamins in everyday. What made a difference with me is waking. At 2 weeks i walked on the treadmill for 15 mins then kept going up till i could speed walk for 30 mins. Try doing that. I used to weigh myself every week, but when my body slowed down, i started weighing every two weeks.. You really will be surprised. Remember, you did this in order to be healthy and for many different reasons! So stick to it! YOU CAN DO IT
  8. That's wonderful to hear! Keep the positivity and motivation up! 1/3 is actually great.. Think about how ud be losing it all very soon! And dont let anyone demotivate you. You are doing thing for yourself! And not anyone else!
  9. I really hope that its just a period of time that i can overcome. I wouldn't want to stay like this constantly craving bad things and thinking that im hungry (head hunger)! I hope you're doing well and thank you for your reply !

    Too Much Love/Hate

Hi there! Dont feel bad, im actually 5 weeks post op and i did the same exact thing i ate A LOT! I even ate bad food i mad some mac and cheese i had popcorn, fries ... Oh god! And its also because of my emotions. But dont worry you'll get back on track. Just keep drinking water and think that you are not allowed to eat until 30-60 mins after drink.. And if you keep drinking you wont eat lol I hope you over come it! I was scared i stretched my sleeve too.. I dont know if i did And honestly from what i hear people saying i feel like i do eat more than they do.. So idk Good luck though! Try to control yourself I thought of the reason i took the decision of doing the surgery think of that too, it might help. And go out for a walk or something keep yourself busy!
  11. I am 5 and a half weeks post op, and i spend most of my time on Pinterest or online looking at food and recipes. At first i was craving some mac and cheese, i did some but OH MY! I could NOT handle a bite of pasta! Anyway! Does anyone else keep google and looking at food? I feel like i want anything and sometimes i feel like i can eat everything lol

  13. Hi 'Curvy' ! You're right! I totally agree! I would LOVE to throw everything away! But the thing is i still love with my parents and i have little sisters ! So its a bit difficult to throw it all haha But all i need to do is control myself and stay away from everything... Gotta keep myself busy! Thank you so much though! LOVE the spirit !!
  14. Thank you "mskiesha29"! Yes you're right! And don't worry! You'll be great! Im sorry if I demotivated you lol No matter how guilty i feel now, i still think its the best decision i made in my life because okay i might not be following the exact rules but im not binge eating the way i used to. I just feel bad because i think i should maybe eat a little less and eat more protein!
  15. I would like to know what people are eating on their 5th week.. And always keep in touch with them
