  1. Having surgery @ occ TODAY!! Leaving the hotel in about 15min. Great experience so far ( transport/hotel.) I'll try to update post op when I'm awake enough.
  2. Surgery today ppl!! Van is picking us up in 15min. Surgery buddies are GREAT and have really helped calm my nerves.
  3. @@kizzyfit - pricing is strictly confidential and we signed an agreement not to disclose. Occ is very happy to quote you, if you simply enquire. They never pressured me in the slightest!
  4. En route to the airport!! Surgery tomorrow. Yikes! This is real!!! No nerves yet, but they are coming. I can feel it. Don't know how my post op will go but I'll start a post thread when I'm able. Wishing any of you having surgery this week the best of luck!!!
  5. @@txfirefly979 - I can totally relate to Your story!! I've been overweight since my teens but always dieting and health conscious. Not to mention in the gym kicking my butt several times a week. I've tried it all. my body is just happy being obese. That's what prompted my choice for the gastric sleeve, after much research! I have a 14mo old daughter but only gained 9lbs pregnant. Hence, my utter despair over my body just being happy in the 230's! My daughter was 9lb 1oz at birth so baby weight crashed off, plus some within two weeks. That being said, I plan to have more children after I reach goal and am fully recovered from surgery. I did weigh the risks, and with good medical care and healthy habits, there just aren't many!? I have my surgery this Friday ( the 9th.) hope to be prego sometime in 2016! We don't have any fertility problems, so that's not a worry.
  6. There are several topics specifically about him. You just need to search his name. I will be getting my sleeve on Friday with him. I've only heard positive things. Several people on this forum are down there this week and their reports are only praise! I will update as soon an I can. Post op this weekend.
  7. @ Jill Pill - so jealous right now! Your post up and doing so great! I cannot WAIT to have surgery behind me. Thank you for all the positive feedback!! It really calms my nerves and helps me sleep these last few nights. When do you travel home?
  8. Prayers and best wishes to all you jan 7th sleevers!! We are cheering for you! Keep us updated when possible.
  9. Yayyyyy!!! This news is downright thrilling! Headed there in Thursday! So glad you are on the other side and doing well! Best to you,for a healthy recovery and safe travels home! Xx
  10. @@BusyHoosierMom - I'm sure your liver is in fine form! We all lose differently and I doubt when you arrive fasting Friday morning, the scale will give you any trouble. I understand the worry though! xx I'm starting to get nerves, just a tad and really hope I don't have to wait all day for surgery! I booked in August so hoping I got in line early?? I have no idea honestly! How did you hear about pre op? I haven't heard anything related to a schedule Friday, except to be there by 7am. We arrive in San Diego at 4pm, so hopefully to the hotel by 5-530? Do you have any companions traveling with you?
  11. @@Veronica Page - shakes? I'm soooo over them! Gag down 2 a day and am so glad when it's over. I haven't been hungry for days either! So glad. Makes all the difference. Leave for surgery Thursday! Wahoo! What thread is happening for us post op? I don't want to lose contact with anyone!
  12. How are you!!? Been waiting for you to Check in post op. How was it?
  13. @@BusyHoosierMom - yay!! It's so close. All feeling very real. I'm down 18lbs and the scale hasn't budged in a WEEK! that's annoying but I'm well past my requirement so I'm not concerned. I'm not hungry and haven't been for several days. Food smells good still, but my body isn't asking for it. I'm def low on energy but besides that, doing good! Hoping to lose a tad more before fri. See you THERE!!
  14. Thank you for sharing. What an incredible change and journey.
  15. @@AZDee - who was your surgeon for plastics? If you don't mind sharing...
  16. It's a great time of year to have the excuse of dieting! Just tell them your on a dr supervised diet and order an ice tea or something. People really don't push if your confidant and clear in what you say. I've sat at many meals socially sipping on water or tea the last three weeks. People are respectful when you have a simple answer.
  17. @@Jill Pill - what $$ are you able to use there?? US dollars or a credit card?
  18. Very best of luck and prayers sent your way!! I get sleeved Friday! Eek! Keep us updated if you can. You got this!
  19. Yes! You'll have to buy one there if you don't bring it.
  20. I haven't either! I will before I leave for surgery! And monthly photo? YES! Getting so excited!! Already feeling so much better, just in pre op!
  21. Very best wishes for a safe and problem free surgery/recovery!! We are always here to support and offer advice if you need anything.
