I was sleeved September 4. My recovery has been smooth once I was discharged. It was supposed to be overnight, but when my surgeon did rounds the next morning, he said, "Nope. You're definitely not going home today." I must have looked pretty bad. I was tired. Respiratory therapy woke me up every 3 hrs around the clock for a breathing treatment. Necessary, I know, but still made me grouchy. They were giving me Morphine for the pain so I didn't wake easily & had a hard time staying awake. I'm making good progress. Already weaning off some of my meds. Down 46 lbs & am loosing inches. I wish I would have measured before surgery.

I tried Garcinia Cambogia. I feel like such a sucker.

My surgeon & dietician preach No caffeine. And it stinks. I love iced tea. I am 18 days pre-op. I don't know how long after surgery that I will be able to have it. BAAAAH!

Hi!! My surgeon said I should lose 70% which would take me to 186 if I figured that right. I'm like you! I want to prove them wrong. I live in Illinois. Born & raised. My surgeon normally uses 14 or 28 day liquid diets. My BMI put me in the 14 day, but because I carry most of my weight all up front in my belly, he put me on 28 days. He said it was his gift to me. I'd love to be surgery buddies! 18 days & counting! (I don't count surgery day)

Hello! I am new to the site. I just came across it last night. My name is Betsy & I am scheduled for VSG on September 4th. August was booked so I could pick any day in September. I told them any day except September 2nd. That's my birthday. I had to start the pre-op liquid diet on August 7th as my surgeon wanted me to be on it for 28 days. I'm getting tired of shakes already. LOL So 18 more days for me. I started at 266# & I'm at 240# now. I'm hoping to lose more before surgery. My goal is 130#.
