I still drink on weekends. Alcoholic...maybe. Who cares I'm in my own home and I enjoy it!

SD Chick-I too love my cpap machine. Of course, some day I would like to sleep without it, but until then, I keep clean and available at all times. Once I lose another 25 lbs. I think I'll ask my dr. for another sleep study.

Congradulations on your surgery! Ok...First of all stay on your post-op diet. You'll be fine. You need to stop obsessing over your band. It will be your friend for a long time. Remember, it's a tool and you have to be patient in learning how to work it. By the way, Dr. Hamn was my dr as well. I think he's great!

You need to give it a chance. I have been on my cpap machine for 3 yrs now. I love it! Once I lose another 20 lbs. I'll have another sleep study done and maybe I can get off of it then. It saved my life! After I am off the machine, I plan to donate it. Good Luck!!!

Why ask here???? Stop waiting to see what happens and call your Dr ASAP...

My doctor told me the same thing. It holds true for me. I excercise, and eat right. I now have lost 63 lbs as of 6:00 this morning. My bandiversary date was March 8th which means I have lost a lb a week in 12 months. It may not seem like much to others, but boy do I feel and look great. Good enough for me. As long as I do things right I'm happy. Good luck!

I also hated to excercise. Luckily, we had a treadmill and I started off the 3rd day after surgery (mainly because of the gas pain in my shoulder). I walked 1 mile an hr for 2 min. I just kept doing and going a little more each day. I too feel better after excercising. Give it a try! You will get used to it!

I also had Dr. Hamn as my surgeon. He is very kind and gentle when he is giving a fill.

I had my surgery done by Dr. Hamn. He was very professional and considerate. I hade my surgery on March 8, 2007 at Presbyterian Plano. The staff there were very nice and helpful. I like Dr. Hamn. He listens and informs me of what I need to know. I am glad to have him as my LB doctor.

Thank you Georgia Girl...this was yummy! I too used fat free sour cream, fatfree milk and 2% cheese. It was very filling.

I have UHC-Choice Plus. I was approved in a week. I guess it depends on when they get all the information they need to evaluate your case. Congradulations and Good Luck!!

I'm in...I'm crazy and losing!

Congradulations on your 14 lb loss Chilly. Hang in there! As for the pain, it's usually just gas. At least it was for me. The incisions were sore of course, but all was well within 5-7 days. Meaning, I could do almost anything such as driving, cleaning, washing clothes, etc..The band is my tool and I love it!
