  1. Let us know how everything goes!
  2. I don't know about anyone else, but I've had a hard time not eating. I can only have banana and sugar free jello. I despise both! Yuck! So, I have been hungry since day 5! Don't get me wrong, I am not all out eating, but I have cheated a bit(no sugar or caffeine only salads and proteins)! I know that is not what my dr wants to hear, but I was starving! Ugh! Anyway, I am back on the wagon and I hope to make it through the next 6 days without cheating.
  3. I received my package the other day! Everything was covered by my insurance. I love the premier protein drinks!
  4. My date is September 16th @ 7:30am! I am excited and nervous! I am right outside of DC and could use a "ride along" buddy to share updates with. I am currently working my way through my 2 week liquid diet.
  5. @@arialuvr I am the 16th! Are you ready?
  6. How's the liquid diet going?
  7. Hey everyone! Today was my Day 2 and I am about to break! My 2 week diet is super strict. I can ONLY have 1 banana per day, protein shakes, sugar free jello, sugar free Popsicles and some nasty protein soup/broth! Ugh! I am hungry and I don't like jello any of the protein shakes! Help! ???????????????? I am also super nervous about the surgery....the 16th is right around the corner!
  8. I have a tracking # for my liquid vitamins and protein shakes. They are supposed to arrive later on this week. I will keep you all posted.
  9. @@Lucy424 @Bingcherry @Notinks Yes.... the liquid diet!! This is going to be interesting! Lucy - you have to do 3 weeks?
  10. Any more mid-sept folks out there. I need a support TEAM! I start my liquid diet on the 2nd and I have my surgery on the 16th. OMG!
  11. Any September surgeries @ Fair Oaks? I am scheduled for 9/16 w/Dr. Moazzez. I would love to find a buddy or two.
  12. I submitted my request about 10 days ago and they called on Tuesday to let me know that my insurance approved the Protein drinks and liquid Vitamins. I didn't request approval for the scar cream. I think she said they were sending 3 cases via FedEx, so I should get them today or Monday. I am not sure about the liquid vitamins.... as I couldn't find anything on their website about it.
  13. Yes, I am doing the bypass. I am a bit nervous! I felt like I couldn't wait for the approval and when I got it, I went into panic mood! Yikes! How are you doing?
  14. I am also on the 16th!
  15. Hello Tiffany4fit - I used Dr Jacqueline Jacobson. She is also on the Fair Oaks campus. I did not have to pay up front and she was covered by my insurance (Aetna Signature). She was very nice and easy to talk to. I think her turnaround time is about 2 to 3 weeks to submit the completed evaluation to BluePoint.
  16. I have not been to any of the meetings yet, but I will be attending the one on the 16th. Do a lot of pre op folks attend those meetings?
  17. Northern VA here - Once approved, I will have my surgery @ Inova Fair Oaks.
  18. Hello all, I am so happy that I found this site. Just reading your comments in this thread have been helpful. I just finished my 3 months of required weight management classes. Pam submitted my paperwork to my insurance company (Aetna via CoreSource) on Monday, 8/4. I really hope that I get an approval soon. I originally saw Dr. Pourshojae, but I think that I may have my surgery(RNY) with Dr. Moazzez @ Fair Oaks. I would love to have a WLS buddy, so please feel free to message me.
