  3. Hello everyone ... My surgery is August 27... I started my two shakes a day and of course after always eating a hearty breakfast and lunch ... This is a little bit of a shock to the body ... The main thing is I feel so tired and no energy ... It seems illogical to go into surgery so tired but who am I ... Certainly not a doctor. Is this normal . Just tell me so I can stop worrying....
  4. yes mine is august 27.... I am on the pre op right now ... But I only have yo do it for breakfast and lunch and I eat a regular dinner... I know how you feel... Hang in there.
  5. Thank you to everyone!
  6. It feels surreal to me right now. Excited to take this step, but nervous as well. Do you have to do an extended pre-surgery diet? Just two weeks on Protein powder for Breakfast and lunch.... It hasn't been to bad.... It has been 3 days.
  7. we are getting sleeved on the same day... Where do you live?
  8. Oh by the way I am so obsessed I keep watching videos on the actual surgical procedure for the sleeve . I know I'm nuts... But I want to see exactly what they are doing.
  9. I think when you spend so much time figuring out this is the route you want to go you can't help becoming a little obsessed . I started this journey 2 years ago for lap band and chickened out. This past May I went to another seminar with new doctors ... Two amazing woman in practice together in Florida . I decided on the sleeve and have never looked back. My surgery is fast approaching and I can't think about anything else . My friend and I are conversing about what to take to the hospital ... Almost like we are taking a vacation ... So wish me luck in August 27... I have to say I am nervous about a few things ... I hate being nausea so I am hoping I don't have that... And pain...I don't want the pain meds to make me have nausea . Thanks for listening to me.
  10. Does anyone know if we can drink this after we are sleeved ... When we are are liquids ?
  11. Please tell me what you think. I have surgery in two weeks and I have been reading about a bariatric pillow that will be helpful. Any feedback would be great . Also any tips on what to take to the hospital . Even in my big notebook ... Nothing about what to pack except socks. Don't want to get the pillow if it's not something I need! Thanks again for all the support. ????
  12. Start my pre- op diet today... 2 shakes ... Regular dinner... Wish me luck . Two weeks until surgery ! Excited but nervous.... By the way what does everything think about purchasing a bariatric pillow. Worth it? Best thing ever? Regular pillow will work ?
  13. I am with Dr. Jesse and Dr. Ache and they are worth the drive from anywhere. Totally involved and caring and amazing . I am getting sleeved on August 27... And although I live in Tampa ... It is only about 15 minutes from me.
  14. Is there a support group in Tampa Florida ?
  15. Wow... I love this thread. I am so hoping this will be me. After reading all the posts ... I just assumed I was going to have l these issues. Now to read about people that have done so well I hope I can be one of those people. Thanks
  16. I am being sleeved on August 27... I asked my surgeon and of course it is different for everyone . I am a teacher... Going to get everything set up and ready to go... I pull kids out if class as II am a reading specialist. I go in on a Wednesday and hoping to go back the following Wednesday . I will see how I am doing . That is my plan .
  17. I'm an August sleeve! My date is August 27... I start pre- op on August 13th... I am so ready for this journey ! Good luck to all the August sleevers!!!
  18. I Have had anxiety my entire adult life. Some days I have nothing... Other days are bad. I use Lorazapan as needed. Here is my question ... To anyone who has already been sleeved and has anxiety can I expect it to be worse post op.... In other words even though everything I have read and I know exactly what to expect I am concerned that my anxiety will sky rocket. I just want to be prepared. I was told by my surgeon if need be I can take my Lorazapan...but that scares me too!!! Lol any feedback would be wonderful.
  19. Wow!???? you look fantastic... I go in on August 27 and I am so nervous .... You are inspiring!!!
  20. I'm hoping to do it in a week... Just because it is the beginning of the school year... I was hoping to do it during the summer but by the time I started in May ... Everything took time... If I listen to my body and I am not ready to go back then I won't . Just wanted some idea from others. Thanks to all of you who took the time to answer me . After reading all these posts I feel closer to everyone but still quite nervous . I start pre- op protein tomorrow morning.
  21. thank you for telling me... I gave children come to my room so I think I can do it providing everything goes well!
  22. I went back to work exactly one week after my surgery.I feel like I bounced back really well with no problems problems but I do have a desk job. There was one day in which my energy was low, but I think that was due to low Iron. I work 630am-3pm, so I was good while at work, but then just went home and laid low. Thank you so much for telling me your story
