  2. well turns out that HPN aka Health Plan of Nevada is the ONLY insurance company out here that will not cover lap band. they cover gastric bypass but will not cover lap band. i just don't get it. it's like gastric bypass costs about 6,000 more, why would you cover that surgery and not this one? i hate insurance companies...it's like they just don't understand how much some people need this or want this. it's a terrible feeling. :cry
  3. hey everyone. i really like reading everything you guys are going through. you all give me inspiration to do something as well. unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover the surgery so i am on the search for financing...but so far it's looking pretty dim. i look forward to being able to make this life change and sharing it with you as i go along. wish me luck!
