well turns out that HPN aka Health Plan of Nevada is the ONLY insurance company out here that will not cover lap band. they cover gastric bypass but will not cover lap band.
i just don't get it. it's like gastric bypass costs about 6,000 more, why would you cover that surgery and not this one?
i hate insurance companies...it's like they just don't understand how much some people need this or want this.
