  1. You're awesome!! I was down nearly 23 lbs for the month! Donated. Goodbye don't need to see those again!
  2. 10 days. You got this! I hear day 3 is the hardest and then you push through [emoji16]
  3. No liquid diet exactly but 3 weeks of their boxed foods of a very low calorie diet. Didn't even have to do liquids the days before.
  4. -12 is in the past 7 days
  5. I'm 7 days post op. Today was my doctor appointment. I'm down 22.8 pounds since my visit last month!!!
  6. My doctors said after day 2 to be trying to get one protein water in a day. But I truly cannot. It makes me gag even thinking about it.
  7. Thank you! I haven't seen those. I'll send my husband on a search tonight.
  8. Had my surgery 5/3, so tomorrow is a week. I have had no pain and an easy recovery. The only thing I really notice is I'm ready for bed by 630pm instead of my normal 11ish. My only real problem is getting my protein in. I can't stand the protein water. It's like drinking soap. My doctor said I could do the protein shakes mixed with water 50/50. I'm struggling to get one in. I'm really trying to get my water/water+protein in but it's a true struggle. I'm hoping tomorrow I get passed to purees and maybe that'll help me get better proteins for the day. And hopefully once I do better with my protein I won't be so darn tired by early evening. Tips or advice appreciated to help me reach my daily goal.
  9. Im 5 days post surgery and have had the best recovery ever. I was able to sleep on my side immediately and could always tolerate liquids. I was out and about the second day. Im bored of water and my 50/50 protein. SF jello is something im allowed. Im wondering if its typical to be able or unable to eat a whole 2 oz serving at once. I have 2 oz souflé cups premade but am eating slowly with a baby spoon. I dont want to overdo it and eat 2oz at one setting.....im petrified of this being so easy that i end up doing something wrong. Should i be able to eat this whole thing? Shoukd i be able to eat a whole sf popsicle? 5 days= 7lbs donated to those in need ^^^^thats a joke between my daughter and i. When i lose something i always try to find it again. When Ive given to charity, it's gone and i am free of it forever [emoji3]
  10. Still feeling great after having surgery 2 days ago. Today I'm at my daughter's soccer and next is my son's baseball game. I'm dizzy from all the anti-nausea meds but am feeling awesome.
  11. I don't know where to find all that for me to update [emoji15] Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Maybe it's just the meds talking here, but I feel great. No pain. I can sleep on either side. I'm tolerating liquids just fine. Walking around the house to get moving. The anti-nasea meds make my very very sleepy so I'm reasting and NOT overdoing, but I feel like I could face the real world today if I needed to. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Had my surgery this morning and I'm now resting at home. Feeling really good. I have a heating pad on my back to see if it'll assist in the gas pain. But it's not a big deal. And my surgeon commented on how nice and small my liver was. [emoji23] Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. 7am tomorrow Santa Claus is coming to Town. Well, not exactly but it's when I have to check in for surgery. Let's do this! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. Food funerals. I did it too. Tomorrow's my last pre-op day. Surgery Thursday. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Yeah I have to eat prepackaged foods from my doctor's office for my main calories. I'm allowed broth, sf jello, and sf decaf water drinks (propel, diet Snapple, Crystal light). Three more days . I can do it. Btw, I put fresh batteries in scale. That seemed to help some. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. Well at least this makes it make some sense. I had about 2 normal people bites of baked chicken. I cut it into about 15 baby bites. 3 more days of vlcd then surgery. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. I'm doing a vlcd for pre-op. 3 weeks. First week I lost 8 lbs. Second week total was 13. Now I'm back to the 8 pounds total loss. Who gains on a 6-800 Cal diet?! I'm going to try to recalibrate my scale. This just cannot be right. I'm so disappointed. I cheated the tiniest bit once and with protein. I'm hydrating like a mad woman....[emoji45] Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. This is me exactly. I'm just so over my pre-op vlcd that I'm ready to be on the other side. If I can't eat anything, it'd be nice to not *want* it. May 3 here too. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. Today's my day 6. Surgery is May 3. Two more weeks. It's so close! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. Day 4 of my pre-op diet. The prepackaged protein soups, protein Oatmeals, protein pancakes, and protein hot chocolate are not good but I'm staying strong. I'm allowed jello, broth, sugar free popsicles, and ONE AMAZING PROTEIN CANDY BAR daily. Yes, it's only day 4 but I live for that bar each day. They taste like real food. On the other hand, I'm getting over 100oz of fluids daily. And I've lost 7lbs in these 4 days. Go Me! 17 (almost 16) days until surgery!!! I am so excited! 22. I'm on a 3 week VLCD (very low calorie diet) as my pre-op. It's still food although mostly liquids, but at least there's some oatmeal and pancakes I can have daily. And one pretty yummy protein bar daily. So, I don't think it'll be completely awful. I read I can expect to lose 3-5lbs a week. (Printed, so probably 5-8 is the real ballpark). I'm hoping just seeing those new numbers on the scale will keep me in victory mode for the 3 weeks. Anyone have a significant loss on the pre-op diet? 23. May 3rd here! Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. I've read that this is where a lot of people get a stall. So depressed, stall, it all sounds like week 3 is your body's rebound week. Better weeks ahead. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. I'm @ 40. I saved up my cursing until I knew exactly how long I would have to do their diet. Then, I let it all loose. Afterwards I looked at every vgs post on Instagram and knew the 3 weeks was going to be more than worth it. ~note to self: keep doing exactly this every time I want to complain or cheat during my pre-op.
