  3. Unfortuately this happens often with many different types of surgery. My daughter had back surgery and found out after having many problems that not only did her doctor not do the surgery, but they also placed the wrong equipment in her back and she has permanent pain now. She had done much research before picking her doctor and he assured us immediately before the surgery that he himself would be performing the surgery. Needless to say, there's now a malpractice suit in process.

  6. I've had thin hair forever -- long before I even thought about this surgery. I use Nioxin shampoo and conditioner and it's helped my regrowth. I'm scheduled for surgery on 11/10 and I'm already dreading the expected hair loss--it has to be rough when you don't have a lot to start with!

  8. The pre-op diet is tough! I'm on my 4th day of Clear Liquids and I cheated over the weekend too. I'm back on the wagon today and I could tear one of my legs off and eat it raw right now! It's easier at work because I have people watching me but I worry about when I get home tonight and I'm by myself. I MUST BE STRONG!

  11. I had a hard time at first because I sleep with my mouth open (lovely!). I started with a nasal pillow which would have been pretty comfortable if I could just keep my mouth closed! So I switched to a full face mask covering both my nose & mouth which works better.

  14. I would like to be added to both groups please. My surgery is scheduled for Nov 10th.

  18. My date is Nov. 10th in Fort Worth, TX. Three weeks from today! I can hardly wait.
  19. That's one of my top goals! That and have a lap big enough to hold something on my lap! I'm so excited and ready for my surgery. November 10th can't get here soon enough!
  20. I have some too but I'm not going to try it until I start my all liquid diet on Nov. 1st. I'm glad to hear that it really doesn't have a taste. I've tried the Premier strawberry and it was awful. I've heard the chocolate & vanilla are better but if the GENEPRO works, then I'll be set. I've also got the unflavored

  22. I'm still set for Nov 10th. I have to walk at least 30 min every day. If I still get out of breath when I walk, then I will have to see a cardiologist. I think it's just because it's been so long since I've been active.
  23. I'm scheduled for Nov. 10th in Fort Worth, TX. I have my pre-op appointment today with my surgeon. I'm so excited! I had to lose 11 pounds since the first time I saw him and I had lost it, but now I think I might have gained some back over the weekend. I guess we'll see in a couple of hours.
  24. I would love to be a member of the group if you get it set up and someone tells me how to join. I'm on November 10th.
  25. North Texas here.
  26. Packerfan, when my girls were that age, that's probably the answer I would have gotten too! LOL But now that they're 44 and 46, they appreciate their old Mom! They do tend to try to boss me around though.
