I'm on day 3.Thank you everyone for the advise. My boss is now saying I need a note from my doctor to be cleared to come back to work. Depending on what my doctor says, I may be off another week.I sit at a desk and answer phones. I can make it to where I don't walk at all. Right now, I stopped taking pain meds and I feel pretty good. Not hungry, my chest hurts a bit. Can't decide if that's the new hunger pain or the gas pains. I have had no nausea or vomiting. My doctor does a 2 week post op and it isn't until aug 4.
