  1. I am down 1 pound this morning, and TOM has visited today. Usually, that means weight gain!! I am also back in moderate ketosis. Are you a nurse, Mamato?? Before i started staying home with all these kiddos I was a nurse. Well, still am just not working right now!! Way to go everyone!! Here's to another great day!!
  2. I think I am going to leave my walking speed the same and maybe bump up the running. I am also going to run 5 days a week instead of 3. I am ready to burn some fat!!
  3. I think they were $15.00 for 100 strips. I don't remember exactly, but something like that!!
  4. Your 1 year old sounds like my 19 month old. In the kids room at the gym, he just stands there and cries like someone is killing him. Sooo pitiful. A few months ago we got a treadmill for home so that I can run here. I still try to go to the gym a couple of days a week, but our gym only has childcare 3 evenings a week, so it is kinda hard to make it work consistantly. Mamato, way to go on your first day!! I don't think your times are too slow. I walk at 3.5 and run at 5, and i have been exercising regularly for some time. I thought about bumping it up a little, but as we increase the time that we are running we may not need to bump it up at all.
  5. Steph, so glad you are doing so well. The price of your procedures seems very reasonable. I am about 2 hours east of Dallas. I was going to have my surgery in Tyler (about an hour from me) but the cost is much higher. You seem very pleased with your result. Who is your doctor? Does your doctor/surgery Center have a website? Seems worth checking into!! So glad you are doing so well. You have been very busy. I can't wait to get this done!!!!
  6. I am losing a lot of hair too. Pretty much all I eat is protein. I don't eat enough fruits and veggies and rarely take vitamins. Guess I need to start. I have always had very thick hair, and it is beginning to look pretty thin.
  7. Sounds very yummy. Thanks for sharing. I am always looking for something new to cook. I am a low carber, and this will be perfect. Thanks, Amy
  8. YAY!!!!! Are you planning to work after the baby gets here?? I figured you were feeling pretty sick, and yes, I would say that is a very good sign. It is hard to put into words how very happy I am for you. Having struggled with infertility myself, and then having a child. I know how amazing you feel right now (even with the nausea and fatigue). take care. Amy
  9. How are you?? You are being awefully quiet. HOpe things are going great!!
  10. Cindy, That looks absolutely wonderful!! I will be getting cream cheese tommorow so I can make it. Thanks so much for sharing. Here's my day B - 2 pieces of sausage L - chicken quarter, skinless D - 2 oz brisket, 1/3 cup brocolli S - coffee with sf french vanilla creamer Route 44 unsweet tea from Sonic
  11. Right after I started the couch to 5k the last time I signed up to run a 5k (Coman Race For a Cure As well). The 5k was only 6 weeks from the day I started the couch to 5k. I tried to double up on this plan and it just didn't work for me. Remember you can run/walk the 5k. You will be so proud of yourself wihen you cross the finish line. I know I was. It took me 37 minutes, but I couldn't have been prouder!! You will do great!!
  12. Keep the bigger pair. I kept one outfit of my biggest size. I put them on the other day and couldn't believe the difference. Congrats!!
  13. I'm staying on plan today because I LOVE ME SOME ME!!!!!
  14. My doctor has not restricted anything. There are things my band won't let me eat, but she hasn't really given me any ablsolutes. Liquids don't stay in the band as long and won't keep you full. I am not a big jello fan, but I can eat it if I want to.
  15. WAY TO GO MINPIN!!!! It will get better. I didn't want to hear that irritating man talk so I downloaded the second one. It just has a ding when it's time to run or walk. It is not fun to hear someone tell you that you should be able to talk when you think you are dying. I really liked the podrunner!! Give yourself a BIG pat on the back! YOU DID IT!!!!
  16. LOL!! I am the middle of 3 girls. My dad always said that he always wanted a boy, then suddeny he had more boys than he ever wanted! LOL... Then my sisters and I were all pregnant at the same time and all had boys. Life is so funny
  17. Thanks whosya! Of our 5 only 1 is a girl. I must say, girls seem much harder than boys. I always thought the opposite would be true, but nope. Seems to be reverse. I just finished day one. The podrunner really helped. Love the music. Man it feels good to be moving!!
  18. Where do you buy such a thing?? Sounds yummy.
  19. Thanks luluc. That is an awesome story about your brother. I'm sure there is nothing like knowing that he is fixing to add to his life and you were a part of that!! You are right, there are victories much bigger than the scales!!
  20. bonnie, our beginning weights are very close to the same. It is all about making up your mind to make changes. It looks like you have already done that. I can't wait to see your progress pics....
  21. Bonnie, you are funny. Our 19 month old we adopted. So....we wetnfrom 1 kid to 5 in 1 1/2 years. I must say it was very hard in the beginning, but we have adjusted and the only way I keep my sanity is by keeping routines. Nap time, bed time, etc. DH and I have date night every THursday so we can have some time alone. That is very nice to. They are a handful, but very rewarding.
  22. WAY TO GO BONNIE!!!!!!! Haven't done mine yet. I will be running at nap time. Usually around 12:30. Have I ever mentioned that I have 5 kids (4 are 4 and under). Talk about running. LOL. We are foster parents. We have 2 sons who are 19 months and 9 years old. We have 3 foster kids... a girl who is 4 and boys 8 months and 2 years old. We are fixing to adopt the 8 month old. Love my kids..... Anyway, I will be running when they are down for nap!!
  23. Carrot, I typically stick with low carb. I know exercise is very important. It is an area I need to be more consistent in. Sometimes I am great and sometimes I'm not. Today I am starting a couch to 5k to get back on track. Here's the deal. I am not perfect. I am not even always consistant, but my band won't let me do nothing and I try to make good choices each day. If one day I don't then I just start new tommorow. I have good restriction and that helps a ton. I don't do anything super amazing. You are doing great as well. You should be very proud of yourself. Just keep doing and you will get there.
  24. WAY TO GO MAMATO!!!!!!!!:thumbup::bored::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
