  1. Georgia, I really think I am losing again and I want to weigh SOOOOOO bad!! I keep telling myself that it will be so fun to wait a whole month and see a big loss. That would jsut feel awesome. I am also afraid that if i weigh now and my scales have not dropped then I will get discouraged and not give my very best. I am really focused right now and making good choices. With time that WILL result in weight loss. We can do this. The hardest part is not doing the fit test on the wii. My scales are gone, but I have figured out that there is a way, so I am going to have to use a little willpower. I can do this! I can do this! I can do this!! I will jsut keep telling myself that over and over!
  2. I'm staying on plan today because I love the new me!! Sunshine, I am also 5'5". Our start weights are similiar and we are at the same weight now. I looked at your albums and you look great. You have a beautiful family as well!
  3. Way to go Bunkey!! Welcome to onederland!!
  4. Lyn I love your new pic and 179 is awesome!!!!!! You really do seem to have a fun personality!! You add so much to our thread! Glad you decided to join in. Welcome Berry. I do Jillian Michael videos 5 days a week. Sometimes it falls on run days, sometimes it doesn't. I may add some rowing. That is a very good idea. I am missing my scales badly. I am still holding out!!
  5. Leslie, When I start each week I always think that there is no way I can move to the next week, but I have and you will too. Today DH was saying that each run should push us to what we think is our limit and then by the next week our limit has moved. I can look back and see that is what has happened. You are doing awesome!! Keep it up. I'm glad your DH found your MP3 player. I don't think I could run without my ipod. DJ BeatSmith and I are big buds!! LOL I did it. I ran for 25 minutes. I ran at 5.2 until the last 4 minutes, then I had to bump down to 5.0. i repeated week 6 mix 3 tonight, so on Friday I will move on to week 7. I looked ahead and week 7 is a repeat of tonight. I am sooooo glad. It was soooo hard!!
  6. Way to go Mamato!!!!!!! I am sooo proud of you!!!!! I knew you would rock it today!!!!!!!!! I am fixing to attempt my 25 minute run again. I really want to move on to week 7, so here goes.
  7. We 3 is not quite right. Unless I didn't hear right, it goes from walking to cool down, so no, it isn't just you. Enjoy the extra little walk at the end.
  8. I am staying on plan today because I am sooooooo worth it!!
  9. I am so computer iliterate. I haven't a clue. Sorry.
  10. lyn, congrats!!! That is an awesome run. Bonnie, You are doing great!! Don't be scared of the 20 minutes. You can do it!!! I have bumped my speeds down just a little. Since adding the exercise videos I find the running a little more difficult. I am walking at 3.7 and running at 5.0. You ladies are all doing great!!! Keep it up!!
  11. Mamato, I will never give you a hard time for having to stop to take your little girl to potty. I was 20 minutes into my 25 minute run this morning and guess who I had to take to the potty?? ME! I had to go soooo bad. It was either go on the treadmill (not a good idea) or stop and go potty. I tried to get back on and do my last 5 minutes, but I just couldn't get back in the zone. I may try it again tonight, but I might wait until tommorow. 20 minutes is definately a good run for the day. I don't know if I want to do the whole thing over to get the last 5 minutes in. We'll see.
  12. tootie, I do a set of 5 Jillian Michael DVD's. I just started them. I do them everyday except Wednesday and Sunday, so some days I end up doing both. Running seems a little harder with the addition of the DVD's, but they are more strength and sculpting, so I'm guessing it's ok.
  13. So, did anyone miss their scales today??? I did!!
  14. I'm staying on plan today because I want to lose 25 pounds by my bandiversary, and it is VERY doable if I stay focused!!
  15. whosya, I will definately need some advice on where to go from here. 180 pounds in 12 months is AMAZING!!!!! I had to look at your numbers to make sure you hadn't made a typo. I am VERY impressed. I am hoping to lose 25 more pounds before my bandiversary on October 24. I was beginning to think that was highly unlikely. After seeing what you've lost it seems much more doable! WAY TO GO!!!! HAPPY BANDIVERSARY!!!
  16. Kathy, I am sooo glad you are all ok. What a scary night. You are going to be really sore. Don't push too much. Glad you are ok.
  17. Way to go Wow and Cindy!! wlecome to Onederland!!!
  18. Welcome Serenity. It is so impressive that you are doing this preop. I am not sure I would have had the drive to attack it then. You should be very proud!! Not sure what to tell you about the calves. Be sure you give your body plenty of fuel (food) for your run. That is all I can think of. When I don't eat enough good carbs I have a REALLY hard time with my runs.
  19. Ok, You've probably figured out by now that I am pretty obsessive. I like to call it driven. Well, I was so frstrated with myself about my run this morning. I decided I would start the run over after supper. So... I repeated week 6 day 2 this evening. I completed it!! It was soooo hard. Harder than the 20 minute run. Probably because I have allready done my exercise video for today and I had allready done about 2/3 of day 2 this morning. Anyhow, I started at the beginning and went through the whole thing. I was very proud at the end of it, but man am I tired. Goodnight all!!
  20. Tootie, Way to go on a great first day!! Sugar, Hope your leg is better real soon. Mamato, I can just see myslef screaming "tell her to hold it!!". You are so good. I might have gotten in trouble on that one. georgia, Stay in the house. Seriously, I hope you are doing ok this evening. Take it easy girl. Leslie, Get better real soon. hope your kiddo is doing better too. I went to the doctor today. My last visit was 3 weeks ago. Since then the scales have only dropped 2 pounds, but acording to her machine, I lost 5 pounds of fat and gained 3 pounds of muscle. I am happy with that. My lapband doc is also going to do my tummy tuck and thigh lift. She looked at all my loose skin and we began making plans. She said that she doens't want me to focus on a weight, but on body fat. When I am 25% body fat then I will have the surgery. I am so pumped. With her doing it I will be able to have it done locally and save a lot d/t me being an employee at the hospital!! I am looking at the end of the year!!
  21. I'm staying on plan today because I am worth it!!
  22. I just attempted week 6 day 2. I didn't complete it. It is 2 10 minute intervals. I made it through the 1st 10 minutes, but tuckered out about 3 minutes into the 2nd 10 minutes. I know what the problem was. I did my other workout first and haven't eaten anything to speak of today. I know better. You just can't do that much exercise without any fuel. I got on there believe I probably wouldn't make it because I needed to eat first, but I wanted to get the run done so I didn't stop to fuel my body. I will probably get back on this evening when I have eaten and made up my mind. If I get on thinking I won't do it then I won't. i'm am pretty frustrated with my poor choice this morniing. because I failed to eat right I am going to have to start the whole run over. YUCK!! Lesson learned. I'm gonig to eat something now.
  23. pooh, I usually shoot for a defecit of between 1000 and 1500. It is important to make sure that you take in enough calories to support your activity. I learned this lesson the hard way. I just finished reading Jillian Michael's book "Losing to Win". It is an excellent book and talks about calorie intake vs deficit, etc. It is very much worth the read. I understood from her book that it is ok to lose weight quickly as long as you eat the right foods, so a large deficit is ok if you support that with proper nutrition. I would have a 500 to 750 defecit without much effort at all. Here are my numbers from yesterday, and I only did 30 minutes of exercise. I do 30 min one day and 1hr on the other day, so I have a greater deficit on my 1 hr day. You also have to consider what your routine daily activities are. I have 5 kids and 4 of them are 4 and under, so I am chasing kiddos all day everyday. That's sure to burn a few calories by itself!! Best of luck to you. I love my bugg. It is a great tool in keeping track of what i am eating. Yesterday - total Burn - 2340 Total intake - 1085 Deficit - 1255
  24. OK, I still have not lost any new weight. In fact, I updated my ticker today, and it is 1 pound up. I usually don't move my ticker in that direction, but I am giving myself a clean slate. I am also taking DH up on a challenge. I am sooo obsessed with the scales. He is going to put my scales up for me and I am not weighing for a month. So....there is not much chance I will complete this challenge, but my final weigh in will be August 5th instead of the first. I am still cheering you all on!! yall are doing great!!
  25. Kathy, I think you will surprise yourself and do both 5 minute intervals!!! I weighed and updated my ticker. I was one pound up from my ticker weight. I usually don't adjust my ticker if it means going up, but for this I am. I want to start with a clean slate. I can't wait to see what we all lose in a month while not focusing on the scales. Kathy, you are right, if we can run surely we can put the scales away. I just did my Jiilian workout. now I am going to run day 2 of week 6.
