  1. I am 10 days out and still am really working on getting it all in! When I drink too much (protein, water, or whatever) I get a full (I think) feeling and most everything makes me burp- very ladylike- anyway, be kind to your new stomach! Good luck!
  2. I had a band before I had the sleeve (7/22). I wouldn't worry about the tilt. It could just be because of your anatomy. I had a fill by another dr. Because my original surgeon was too far away. He had a little trouble inserting the needle the first time, and mentioned that my port was slightly tilted. He wasn't concerned either. Good luck and keep losing!
  3. @@tfowler I have to laugh! You told me how to mention someone on my first day on the site. I just now found the dang button!!! Maybe it's not on my iPhone? Anyway, I'm glad I know how to do it now! Lol!
  4. I had a lap band before my sleeve, and I got a runny nose, but it was my sign I had OVER eaten, and I was going to get sick. Not good Anyway, stay strong as you are going out to lunch with your work people. I am going out of town this weekend, but everyone knows what's going on, so it shouldn't be too bad. Have a great day!
  5. Tfowler, thank you for your ideas! I guess I really just had a bad day yesterday. I know that I am getting better everyday. I guess I would describe how I feel at the end of the day is worn out, but I truly think it's because I don't eat enough during the day. Last night I experienced being truly hungry for the first time since surgery. I ate probably close to 3 to 4 ounces of soup and a bit later a pop cycle. I have ordered unflavored protein, so that should help, too. I think I am going to quit stressing, do the best I can, and just work my sleeve as best I can. I truly appreciate your input. Thank you very much! Have a great day!!!!
  6. Exactly one week down and 20lbs gone (from max weight), but I am having a horrible time with drinking the protein! And I'm pushing getting in enough fluids. I'm getting very discouraged because by the end of the day, I feel like crap. Anyone have any suggestions?
  7. Way to go! Keep it up!
  8. That was exactly how I thought of it!
  9. I'm in the same boat, and I'm still not getting enough of either thing. I drank a 42g shot today. Slowly obviously! It was nasty, but I got at least 42g drank today!
  10. I am in awe of all of you who are back to work today! I just ran to CVS and thought that I had made a big mistake! Took an hour and a half nap afterwards! My left incision site is still very painful. I guess it's because they removed my band from there, too. My dr. had me working on getting 60 grams and 60 oz. starting day two! I must admit it hasn't happened quite yet. Lots of gas, but not feeling nauseous. Anyway, that's what's going on with me now. I think of all of us, and know that we have made the right decision. Have a great day, everyone!
  11. I had my surgery on the 22nd. Today was awful for me. Not necessarily from pain, more emotional! I would love to be friends through this journey.
  12. I can so relate! I am 4 days post op. And am really feeling crappy. I am trying to get all my protein and fluids in, but it's been really difficult! I have read that it will get better, but right now I'm just so frustrated! This is really hard!
  13. Good luck! I had mine today and am at my sisters! Good luck tomorrow!
  14. I'm home from surgery and doing fine! I hope everyone else is, too!
  15. I'm so new to this site (and this type of social media) I'm not sure when someone is talking to me, or how to answer back. Any hints? Thanks! Oh, and I go in tomorrow morning at 5 for my sleeve! :-)
  16. Good luck! I know how nervous- I am too! I report to the hospital at 5:00a.m. Tomorrow! Here we go!
  17. Hi! My surgery is scheduled on the 22nd, too! I'm having it in Dallas with Dr. Nick Nicholson. Good luck! Let's try to keep in touch and support each other!
  18. I'm having surgery on the 22nd and would love a buddy for support for both of us! I just read about a private FB for July surgeries. How do you get invited into that group? I am excited and nervous at the same time!!!!
  19. I'm nervous now. I am having hernia repair, band removed and sleeve, and at this point not scheduled to stay even one night! I'm not worried about the surgery as much as pain management!
  20. I'm scheduled for 7/22. I'm scared and excited! I had a lap band about 4 yrs ago, and wasn't successful. I pray this works!
